Hurst/Olds

For its 15th aniversery, Oldsmobile brought back the Hurst/Olds
in 1983. This option was only available to those who got the Calais
model. The car came with one color option: black with silver rocker
panels. The two colors were separated with a red stripe that ran
around the whole car. Also standard were the following options:
- High Output Olds 307 producing 180hp
- TH200-4R OverDrive transmission w/ Lightning Rod Shifters
- 3.73 rear end w/ optional posi
- Performance Suspension
- Semi-dual exhaust- single cat, dual mufflers
- 15" chrome SuperStock III wheels
- Rear deck wing
- Power bulge hood scoop
- Bucket seats (std. on Calais)
- Center console w/ floor shifter (std. on Calais)
- Rallye gauge package (std. on Calais)
Identifying a Hurst/Olds:
- VIN Engine Code 9
- Look at the sticker in the trunk. Option W40 should be there.
- Dual snorkle air cleaner with chrome lid
Oldsmobile brought the H/O option back one more time in 1984. This
time the car was silver with black rocker panels. Everything else
was the same. Also of note Oldsmobile had H/O's in 1979. They were
either black/gold or white/gold with gold rally wheels. Olds made
2499 Hurst/Olds' this year. They offered the 350cid (5.7L)
Olds engine, the first time there was no 455 Rocket available in
