Angel is back at his place in L.A. Angel picks up a stake to level his desk better. Cordelia thinks Angel was going to stake himself, when she and Doyle went running in to stop Angel. Then they started to talk about what Angel did in Sunnydale. And suddenly...Buffy enters Angel's office.

Buffy and Angel start talking as Cordelia and Doyle leave the room to let them talk. They go out for coffee. Buffy and Angel talk further when a demon comes flying through the window. Buffy and Angel fight it off wounding it in the process. The two follow it in the sewers and have another heart-wrentching sewer talk. After the little talk they spilt up. Buffy heads to the surface. Angel follows the sewers. Angel is the one to find the demon. They fight and Angel thinks the demon is dead. During the fight Angel's blood mixed with the demon's blood. Angel has been turned human.

Angel goes back to his office, where Doyle and Cordelia find out he's human. Now Angel can do whatever he wants. First, he eats everything in sight. Apparently he doesn't like yogurt, but he does like chocolate. Cordelia goes to tell Buffy that the demon is dead. But not telling about the fact that Angel is human.

Angel and Doyle research the demon and find out it's called a Morah demon. The blood of a Morah demon has regenerative powers. Angel and Doyle go to the oracles to find out the meaning of why Angel became human. They tell Angel he's alive, the real deal, he can live his life as an averge person now. And have whatever he wants.

The scene switches to Buffy. She's standing on a dock by a beach. She turns around and see's Angel walking towards her in the sunlight. When he gets to her, he kisses her passionately.

Cordelia thinks dark forces follow Buffy. Cordelia and Doyle start talking, Cordelia mentions, sarcastically, that she's sure Buffy and Angel are in Angel's apartment just having tea and crackers.

The scene goes to Buffy and Angel...having tea and crackers. Buffy and Angel decide to do the "mature thing" and take things slow. Until Buffy puts her hand on top on Angel's for a second. then one thing leads to another...

A lot of time passes and it's night now. Buffy and Angel are lounging around in bed feeding each other. Angel asks Buffy why she never told him about chocolate and peanutbutter. Angel drops some chocolate ice cream on his chest and Buffy licks it off. And they're at it again.

Switch to Cordelia and Doyle. They're at a club. Cordelia whines about being out of a job since Angel is human now. Doyle, suddenly has a vision about the Morah demon still being alive.

Switch to Buffy and Angel. They are just lying in bed and talk about Angel having a heartbeat.

A little later, Doyle shows up and tells Angel about Morah. Doyle thinks they should take Buffy along, but Angel wouldn't wake her up for the world.

Angel and Doyle go to the factory Doyle saw in his vision. Morah can only be killed by smashing a jewel it has on it's forehead. But Angel and Doyle haven't figured that out yet. Angel and Morah fight.

Buffy wakes up and asks Cordelia where Angel is. After a little arguing, Cordelia lets Angel's whereabouts slip. Buffy goes to save Angel.

Buffy finds the factory and finally defeats Morah after Angel figures out the jewel thing and tells her. The scene ends with Buffy holding Angel in her arms.

Later Angel goes back to the orcales to ask them to change him back into a vampire with a soul. He decides he can't keep risking Buffy's life everytime something happens to him. The oracles agree to turn back time 24 hours, before Morah first attacked. Angel will be the only one to remember that day, so the same thing doesn't happen over again. Angel tells Buffy about time turning back reluctantly. They share one more heart-breaking moment together.

Suddenly, Buffy and Angel are back in Angel's office, just like the episode began. Morah jumps through the window and Angel quickly kills it. Buffy looks at Angel one last time, then leaves. And that ends the episode. (Not a very happy B/A ending. I cry everytime I watch it.)

When characters speak, I'm going to use the first letter of their name. I'll go insane if I have to keep typing their name.

NOTE: David Boreanez has a line where he says "Please, shhh, please". He doesn't really say that in the show, instead he says "Please, Sarah, please". I heard somewhere that when SMG has to cry in scenes, David is the only one who could calm her down.

The episode begins with Angel fixing a clock, which says 8:53. Then Angel checks the desk to see if it is level. He does this by, putting a pencil on the center of the desk and letting it roll to the edge. Cordelia and Doyle watch from outside Angel's office.
C: "When did he get back?"
D: "Late last night."
C: "And?"
D: "Ah, he seemed fine."
C: "He saw Buffy. He was in Sunnydale for three days, tracking her and that thingymagiggy you saw in your vision. (Cordelia sighs while watching Angel try to fix his desk) Where is the crabby scowl, the morbid gloom? (She turns arounf to face Doyle) This just means that it cut deeper then usual. Batten down the hatches, here comes Hurricane Buffy."
D: "You think? (Cordelia gives Doyle an annoyed sigh.) Maybe he's over her."
Cordelia puts her hand on Doyle's shoulder: "You have so much to learn little Irish man."
Cordelia turns around and sees Angel get a stake and test it with his finger.
C: "Oh, my God!"
Cordelia and Doyle run into Angel's office: "Don't do it, Angel!"
D: "Listen to me, man, it's not worth it."
A: "It's not?"
C: "No! You can't let her get to you like this.You'll meet someone else. Just give it some time."
D holds out a hand: "Why don't you let me have that?"
A: "Because I need it to level my desk. (Angel bends down and puts the tip of the stake under a table leg) You know, the floor is uneven. (Angel stands up with a small smile on his face) You two thought.."
C: "Doyle did. You know how he always jumps to conclusions, - 'cause you saw Buffy."
A: "Look, it wasn't a social call. I was there to protect her. I stayed out of sight. She didn't even know I was there."
C: "Really? (Angel nods) So you avoided her."
A: "Look, Buffy will always going to be a part of me, and that's never going to change. But she's human and I'm (Frowns and looks down) - not. And that's also never going to change. Look we said our good-byes, no need to stir any of this up again."
C: "You don't want to 'stir', but if my ex came to town and was all stalking me in the shadows and then left and then didn't even say 'hello' I'd be.."
B enters from the open office door: "A little upset. (Angel looks at her in surprise) Wouldn’t you?"

Theme song

C: "Buffy! - Buffy's here - in town. - What brings you to.."
B: "I came to see my father. (Then looks towards Angel)Thought I'd stop by."
C with a fake laugh: "What a surprise!"
B turns to C again: "Cordelia how are you?"
C: "Good. I'm good. You?"
B looks at A: "I've been better."
C: "Uh-huh. - Well, this is Doyle. And he gets visions of people in trouble."
D: "Nice to make your acqu--"
C grabs D's arm and pulls him out of the office: "And this is us leaving you two alone."
Buffy closes the door after they leave, and turns around to Angel. He doesn't seem able to look Buffy in the eye.
A: "Well, umm, it's good to.. Can I get you anything?"
B: "How about - an explanation? - Who do you think you are coming to my town, following me around behind my back?"
A: "I'm sorry."
B: "What is this? Some new torment you cooked up just for me?"
A: "No, I didn't want to torment.."
B: "What is it? You can see me, but I can't see you?What are we playing here?"
A: "We're not. I'm not playing anything. I wrestled with this decision.."
B: "Which you made without me."
A: "I tried to do what I thought was right. You know, it's complicated how this all happened, Buffy, you know? It's kind of a long story."
B: "You're new sidekick had a vision, I was in it, you came to Sunnydale?"
A: "Okay, maybe not that long."
B: "You didn't feel that I was important enough to even tell me that you were there."
A looks at her: "I'm trying to explain. It's because I felt you were important that I didn't tell you."
B: "I'm a big girl now, A. I'm not in high school anymore. A lot has happened in my life since you left."
A: "I know. I respect that."
B: "And I don't need you skulking around, trying to protect me. (Angel looks away, and Buffy looks down) Unless, of course, I'm in some gigantic fight to the death, which - I was last night. That was you, helping me, wasn't it?"
A: "I was in the neighborhood - skulking."

Switch to Doyle and Cordelia in the outer office.
D: "So that's the Slayer."
C: "That's our little Buffy."
D: "Well, she seemed a little.."
C: "Bulgarian in that outfit?"
D: "No, I was going to say hurt."
C: "Yeah, there's a lot of that when they're together.(gets her purse) Come on."
D: "Where are we going?"
C: "Oh, they'll be into this for a while. We still have time for a cappuccino and probably the director's cut of 'Titanic'."

Switch to Angel and Buffy.
A: "I'm sorry if I handled it wrong. What else was I supposed to do?"
B: "I don't know. - I just know that when you're around, whether I see you or not, - I feel you - inside - and it throws me."
A: "Throws me, too."
B: "So let's just stick to the plan. We keep our distance until a lot of time has passed. Given enough time we should be able to.."
A: "Forget?'
B: "Yeah. - So, I'm gonna go - start forgetting."
When Buffy turns to leave and green demon flies through the window and attacks Angel. The demon is dressed like a samaurai, it has a shiny red jewel embedded in it's forehead. Angel barely misses the demons first stike with his sword by rolling over his desk.
B: "Angel!"
Buffy kicks the demon into a wall and the Angel throws an ax at it.

Switch to Cordelia and Doyle leaving the office. They hear the fight.
D: "Did you hear that?"
C (not caring): "Oh, yeah, the Angel and Buffy show. First they talk out their differences, then they punch them out."
D: "Shouldn't we.."
C: "Stick our noses where they don't belong and get them flattened? No thank you."
They leave.

Switch to Buffy and Angel fighting. Buffy tries to fight the demon off while Angel slides across the floor, grabbing the demon's sword in the process and stabbing it in the stomach. Some in the blood slides down the sword onto Angel's hand. The demon tries to get away causing Buffy to fall on Angel. Angel and Buffy make eye contact as they try to get up off the ground.
B: "Friend of yours?"
A: "Never saw it before."
B: "That was rude. We should go kill it."
A: "I'm free."
B: "Got somewhere I can change?"

Switch to Angel and Buffy trying to find the demon in the sewers.
A: "It's heading towards the ocean."
B: "Are you sure?"
A: "It's wounded. I can smell its blood."
B: "Oh. Right. - Phanty skill. (Angel stops in his tracks and looks at Buffy) Maybe if your crack staff hadn't run off at the first sign of trouble they could have helped us with some research. Find out what this thing is and why it wants to kill us."
Something rustles and Buffy spins around, stake in hand.
A: "Just a rat. - So, you can put that down now. (Slowly Buffy brings her arm down) It's not a vampire. I don't know why you brought that anyway."
B: "Because I know how to use it. Besides it's a lot handier then your fighting ax."
A: "Unless he chops it in two and maybe takes some of your hand with it."
B: "Look can we just get on with the hunting? I'd like to get this over with before dark."
A: "I can handle this myself."
B: "You bailed me out last night. I'd like us to be even."
A walks past her: "We're keeping score now."
B looking towards two different paths: "Are you getting anything? Because I sure smell sewer. (Angel touches a green spot in the wall. He smells it to make sure it's the demons blood, then walks down that tunnel)Tunnel number one it is."
Switch to Angel coming out of the mouth of a tunnel. He's blinking his eyes and has a semi-worried semi-confused expression on his face
B: "Angel? You okay?"
A: "I feel weird.'
B with a sigh: "I know. I do, too. I mean, I only came to see you so I could tell you face-to-face not to see me - face-to-face anymore, - and I know there is a fly in the logic ointment here somewhere, but.. The next thing I knew we're being attacked by this mutant ninja demon thing, and then we're on the floor on top of each other, and it's just really confusing being around you."
A with a slight grimace: "No, I meant I felt weird from the demons blood. (Looks at his hand) It's powerful."
B looks away: "Oh. Okay. (Turns away and starts walking, quickly)Let's just rewind Buffy's little outburst and pretend it never happened."
A: "No. I-It is confusing....When we're apart - it’s easier. (Buffy looks at Angel) It hurts - every day. But I live with it. (He takes a few steps closer to Buffy) And now you're - you're right here - and I can actually reach out.. and - it's more then confusing - it's unbearable."
B closes the distance between her and Angel: "But we have to bear, right?I mean, what else can we do? It doesn't work with us. It can't."
A: "No, I-I can't give you a life, or a future or anything a real girl would want."
B still getting closer: "No matter how much we miss each other."
A: "Or what we feel in the moment."
B: "If we let something happen here - we'd want more.- And nothing's changed. We'd only end up having to leave eachother again."
A: "And that's the best case scenario."
B: "Oh, boy. (Turns around) I was really jonesing for another heartbreaking sewer talk."
A: "I’m sorry."
B turns around again, angry this time: "You know, I'm on the brink of something back home. I'm actually heading towards a pretty good life now that.."
A: "I'm out of the picture. - That's why I left.I want you to have it."
B: "Could we just - find this thing and get this finished?(she sees rungs heading up to the surface) What if it went up?"
A: "Into the day, where it knows I can't follow."
B gets ready to go up: "But I can."
A: "Uh, I..(Angel reaches out for Buffys arm, but balls his hand into a fist and pulls it back) I don't want you going after it alone."
B: "Look, it's best all around if we just split up.I can handle it."
A after a moment: "There's a dive on Second near Beach, The Lone Bar. Demons go there sometimes when they need to get patched up."
B starts up: "Got it."
A: "Be careful."

Switch to Angel walking in dark tunnels. Two green eyes, which are glowing watch Angel as he passes.The demon suddenly attcks , cutting Angel's hand open. Angel looks at the blood now on his hand puts his game face on and attacks. The demon cuts Angel's ax in half and Angel knock the sword from the demon's hands. The demon pulls out a smaller sword. Finally Angel gets the hand that holds the sword and twists it around causing the demon to stab itself. The demon falls as Angel looks at the domen blood on his hand.
The blood starts to disappear as the demon blood seeps into the cut closing it in the process. There's a small flash of light from Angel's hand. Angel falls to his knees. Angel tries to straighten up, and you hear a heart beat in the background.
A staring at his hand in disbelief: "I'm alive."

Switch to Cordelia and Doyle entering the office.
Doyle sees the mess in A's office: "When they fight.."
C runs past him: "Oh, my God!"
D: "What?"
C : "She killed him! (She picks up some dirt from the floor)Oops! My bad. (Brushes off her hands) It's just dust I forgot to sweep under the rug."
D: "What, are you trying to give me a heart attack?"
C: "Hey, don't blame me if he's too cheap to hire a cleaning lady!"
The door opens and Angel walks into the outer office a dazed expression on his face.
C: "What's wrong? What happened? - Did you do it with Buffy? (Doyle steps towards Angel watching Angel;s chest as he moves) Watch it, Doyle, don't get too close. - Hey, you walked in the front door - from the street! You've.."
A looking at D: "Yeah."
C: "Got an umbrella!"
Angel walks past them and stand in the sun streaming in through the window.
D: "He's alive, Cordelia."
C: "Alive?"
A: "Buffy and I were attacked by some kind of demon.I- I tracked it - and killed it (he holds he hand out)some of its blood mixed with mine."
D puts to fingers on Angel's wrist: "And you wound up with a pulse?"
A: "I want to find out what kind of a demon that was.Ow, and my back. It hurts. Everything’s.."
D: "More real, now that you're real?"
A: "Yeah. I'm mortal now. I have a mortal body.(Stares at the area Cordelia is standing) And I'm so - hungry!"
Cordelia gets outof the way when Angel starts coming towards her:"Look out, he's gonna eat..(Angel grabs something and stuffs it in his mouth) everything in sight!"
A opens the fridge, bites an apple: "Oh my God. Food. (He keeps eating) This is unbelievable. This is so.. You know, I forgot how good it all tastes when you're alive!"
C: "Yeah, and they didn't even have Cookie-dough-fudge-mint-chip in your day."
A: "Mmm, I want some! Can you get that?"
C: "It'll go straight to your thighs."
A still trying bites of everything: "Uhm, chocolate! Oh, (Laughs) chocolate!"
D: "All right, all right, we need to focus here. Try and figure out.."
A talking with his mouth full: "I love chocolate! (Angel makes a digusted expression after he tastes yogurt) Uh, but not, as it turns out, yogurt. Urgh!"
D: "Orsen! We're in a situation here."
A: "Right. (Angel breaths in deeply as he calms down)I know. You're right. Let me think - and now my stomach's killing me. - Cordelia, find Buffy. She' in Santa Monica near the Lone Bar. Tell her I killed the demon."
C turns to go: "Okay."
A: "Oh, wait! Don't tell her what's happened to me.Not until I know what it means."
C: "All right."

Switch to a woodcut of the demon in a book.
A: "That's it."
D: "It's called a Mohra demon. They're pretty powerful assassins, soldiers of darkness kind of thing. They take out warriors for our side, like you and Buffy. (He quotes the book) 'Needs vast quantities of salt to live'."
A: "It was heading towards salt water."
D still quoting: "'Veins run with the blood of eternity.'There it is. Its blood has regenerative properties."
A staring fascinated at his reflection in a window: "Which explains what happened to me. But it doesn't explain why."
D closes the book: "Hey, what difference does it make, man? The demon's dead, you're alive! It's happy fun time."
A turns to talk to D: "What's going on here, Doyle?"
D: "I don't know. I thought the only way for you to be made mortal was if the Powers-That-Be stepped in."
A: "What, they could have done this? How come I keep getting the feeling that you're not telling me everything."
D: "Because I'm not. We're both on a need to know basis here."
A walking back and forth: "I need to know about this. Is this permanent? Am I - am I normal Joe now?Can I have a normal life? I want to speak to the Powers-That-Be."
D: "Woah, woah, woah! That's easier said then done, bud. The Powers-That-Be don't live in our reality. You have to approach them through channels. Dangerous channels."
A: "Yeah, you know what? Start approaching!"
D: "All right. All right. Maybe we can try the Oracles. But hey, if they turn you into a toad - don't say I didn't warn you."

Switch to Angel and Doyle somewhere underground. There's an arc in one wall made of white stone.
A reading the foreign inscription above it: "'The Gateway for Lost Souls' (Turns to Doyle) is under the post office?"
D: "It makes sense if you think about it. Now listen, the Oracles are finicky and unpredictable. You do get in, don't dilly-dally.Ask your questions, get out."
a: "Aren't you coming?"
D: "Not allowed. I'm just a lowly messenger, you're a warrior.. if your heart is pure - and I do this right.. (Dolye drops something powery into the urn) 'We beseech access to the knowing ones..' We may just survive. (Then Doyle tries to light the urn and it does.) You're in."
Angel steps through the arc, and is met by two beings who look like humans.
MO: "Come before us, lower being."
FO: "What have you brought us?"
A: "Was I supposed to.."
MO: "You call us forth and bring us no offering?"
A gets his watch: "I brought you this."
Fo brings the watch to her with some sort of magic just by holding her hand out: "I like Time. There is so little and so much of it."
MO: "Well?"
A: "What's happened to me?"
FO starts to move: "It's true then, brother."
MO moves to the other side: "He is no longer a warrior."
A: "It was the demon's blood. It wasn't the Powers-That-Bethat did this?"
MO: "The Powers-That-Be? Did you save humanity?Avert the Apocalypse?"
FO: "You faced a Mohra demon. Life goes on."
A: "My life as a human. I'm not poisoned or under some spell?"
FO after a moment, looks up: "The Auguries say no. If it has happened it was meant to be."
MO: "From this day, you will live and die as any mortal man."
FO: "Privy to all the attendant pains - and pleasures."
MO: "That which we serve is no longer that which you serve.You are released from your fealty."
The female oracle and male oracle walk away for Angel.
A: "That's it? I'm free?"
The male oracle holds up one hand sending Angel through the arc and crashing into Doyle.
D helps A get up: "Angel, it didn't work?"
A: "Yes, it did."
D: "You just went in this instant."
A looking in the direction of the arc: "What?"
D: "Look at your watch."
A: "I can't do that, Doyle. Next time remind me to bring a gift?"
D: "I knew I forgot something. So, what happened?What did they say?"
A: "They're a little confusing, but.. - I mean the gist of it is - it's real. - I'm free."
D: "I can't believe this."
A: "Me either. I mean, what do I do now? - I have this whole new life spread out before me. I don't know where to begin."
D: "Right. It's overwhelming. You can pretty much do whatever you want now. The question is, what do you want?"

Switch to Buffy walking in a park next to the beach. She senses something and turns around in time to see Angel come out of an arc made from bushes. Angel walks right up to Bufy and kisses her.

Switch to the clock on Angel desk. It's 5:03
C (complaining about a dying plant): "This plant was thriving just this morning. Now look at it. I'm telling you where she leads, dark forces follow."
D: "Buffy gave it mites?"
C sits down on the couch beside him: "How else do you explain it?"
D: "Jealousy?"
C: "I'm jealous of her? Oh, please!"
D: "It's just a theory."
C: "Jealous or not, our lives are about to kaleidoscope."
D: "Well, how do you figure. Angel's only been human a day."
C: "The last two and a half hours of which they've spent down there in his apartment - together."
D: "So? Don't they deserve a little happiness after all they've been through?"
C sighs: "Let me explain the lore here, okay? They suffer, they fight. That's business as usual. They get groiny with each other, the world as we know it falls apart."
D: "Well, he's not cursed anymore. And anyway, you can't be sure that they're.."
C: "Oh, please! They've got the forbidden love of all time. They have been apart for months. Now he's suddenly human?I'm sure they are down there just having tea and crackers."

Switch to Angel and Buffy sitting at opposite ends of his kitchen table.
A pours some tea into a mug: "Would you like some more?"
B: "No, thank you."
A: "I'm really sorry I kissed you like that."
B: "You are?"
A: "Well, not for the kiss itself.."
B lets out a sigh of relief: "Good. I mean, 'cause - as far as kisses go I thought it was well above average."
A: "It was incredible. I just - I-I think, maybe we'd be asking for trouble rushing back into things. (Buffy looks up towards Angel) Not that I don't want to - rush. I do, believe me."
B: "Right. You spoke to the Oracles and they did say you were cured for good. But how do we know that they really speak for the Powers? I mean they could be - pranksters."
A: "Or there could be another loophole."
B: "Exactly. And then the two of us would be in even deeper and it’s 'grr' all over again."
A: "It would be smart to wait a while. See if this mortal thing takes."
B: "Exactly. And even if it does, it's still complicated."
A: "You're still the Slayer. And I'm not sure what I am now. I don't know what my purpose is. I can't just wedge myself into your life back in Sunnydale. It wouldn't be good for either of us. Not to mention the fact that you just started college.And what about slaying. I mean, if you had me to worry about, you might not be as focused."
B: "Are you going to pull out a pie chart on me now? Because I get it...not necessary."
A gets up from his side of the table and moves next to B:"I'm not saying I don't want you. Buffy you know how much.. I'm just saying it's worth the wait to be sure that it's right. I need to be sure you won't get hurt again."
B gets up: "You know it's a good thing I didn't fantasize about you turning human only about 10 zillion times, 'cause today would have been a real let down. - So how does the mature plan go? You call me? I call you? What?"
A gets up and steps over to her: "We stay in touch - just not.."
B: "Literally. - Funny. (They look at each other and then Buffy walks past Angel ) Okay, I'd better.."
A turns around to look at her : "Right. Remove the temptation."
B turns to face Angel again: "So, we'll - talk soon."
Angel puts his hand on a counter. Buffy lays her hand on top of his. they stare at their hands. Angel reachess out and pulls Buffy into a kiss. They move and crash against the fridge. Buffy jumps up, wraps her legs around Angel's waist. Still kissing, Angel moves to the kitchen table. he slides everything off the table then lays Buffy down on it.

Switch to some time later.
B yells: "And peanut butter, preferably crunchy!"
A's in the kitchen and his head appears above the fridge door: "Got it."
His arms are filled wth food. He drops all the food on the bed and gets under the sheets.
B, wearing a black robe, smiles at A: "A perfect yum.(Angel feeds and spoon of ice cream to Buffy) Mmm, this is a dream.You're human for like a minute and already there is Cookie-dough-fudge-mint-chip in the fridge."
A: "God, I love food."
B feeds a Angel some food: "Food is good."
They kiss for a moment.
A: "Why didn't you ever tell me about chocolate and peanut butter?"
B: "Well, I figured if your vamp taste buds couldn't really savor it, then it would only hurt you, you know? By the way, I'm over the whole needing to be mature thing. That time you just spent in the kitchen? That was enough time apart."
A with a smile on his face: "Too much."
They kiss again and some ice cream falls on Angel's chest.
A: "Okay, mortal coordination leaving something to be desired."
B: "Wrong. It's just right."
Buffy licks the ice cream off and Angel laughs. He then pulls her into a kiss.

Switch to Doyle and Cordelia who are at a bar.
C: "Well, this is all working out nicely! I'm out of a job."
D: "Hey! It's not just you, you know?"
C: "Oh, please. Who are *you* kidding? You know you're glad it happened."
D: "Hey, I'm glad for Angel, but if that means I'm off the hook with the Powers-That-Be as well, all the better. I'm finally free to go out in the world and make me own mark in the world."
C: "We had a cat that used to do that. (Lays her head sown ont the counter) Oh god, what am I going to do? I'm good for exactly two things: International Superstardom, or helping a vampire with a soul to rid the world of evil. That makes for a short but - colorful resume."
D: "Well, whatever happens form here on out, at least I will be able to say good-bye to them bone-crushing, head-wrenching, mind-numbing visions."
His head hits the bar as we cut to blurred pictures of the Mohra demon attacking Angel.
C: "What do you see?"
D: "We got trouble."

Switch to Angel and B contently lying in bed.
B with her head lying on A's chest: "It's a good sound.Thump-thump. Thump-thump."
A smiles: "It feels pretty amazing."
B: "I'm so glad we didn't logic ourselves out of this.We'll make it work, right?"
A: "We will."
B: "Oh, I'm so sleepy, - but I still want.."
A: "What? You couldn't possibly.. Not that I wouldn't.."
B: "No, no. I'm spent. Pleasantly numb even.You?"
A smiles: "For now."
B: "No, I - want to stay awake - so this day can keep happening."
A gives B a kiss on her forehead: "Sleep. We'll make another one like it tomorrow."
B sleepily: "Angel? This is the first time I ever really felt this way."
A: "What way?"
B: "Just like I've always wanted to. Like a normal girl, falling asleep in the arms of her normal boyfriend. It's perfect."
Angel kisses Buffy again, as she falls asleep.

Switch to some time later. Angel is watching Buffy while she sleep. He hears something. He move quietly so not to wake Buffy. Angel comes out of his room, putting his robe on, to see Doyle come down the stairs.
D: "Hey, that (Angel holds his hand up to quite Doyle down, so Buffy wouldn't wake up.) Mohra demon regenerated more then just you."
A: "What?"
D: "I had a vision. It regenerated itself."
A: "Where?"
D: "In the tunnel where you fought it. Then it was in some sort of factory. I thought I tasted salt. Could have been the margarita."
A (starting to pace): "No, it needs a lot of salt to live."
D: "Well, it was very much alive in this vision, and angry if I might mention."
A: "I'll have to kill it again."
D: "Yeah, but you're human now. They released you."
A pulling on some pants: "You want to let that thing roam free? You saw it in a factory. There is a saline plant in Redondo,We'll start there."
D: "Yeah, but if it can regenerate itself, how can you kill it?"
A: "We'll figure it out. Just grab the book of Kelsor.You’ll read, I'll drive. (Doyle doesn't reply...) Doyle?"
D looks at Buffy sleeping on A's bed: "I think we ought to bring someone a little - supernatural?"
Angel puts a sweater on and looks int eh direction, Doyle is looking in.
D: "Don't you want to wake the girl?"
A: "Not for the world."

Switch to the saline plant.
D is reading the book: "Okay. This is not good. It doesn't just come back - it comes back bigger and stronger. I think we should go back and get Buffy."
A: "I know what I'm doing."
D: "This isn't your average demon we're fighting here.It nearly licked you before and now your mortal."
A: "If this is gonna work with me and Buffy I'm gonna have to be able to do this on my own. I can't keep risking her life every time some minion of hell.. Just tell me how to kill it."
D reads from book: "Uh, 'It regenerates until the dark future it envisions is upon us.' Oh, 'to slay the beast one must bring darkness to 1000 eyes'."
A: "Funny, I only saw two."
D: "Keep up the glib man. It makes me feel like we have a chance. (Angel turns the corner and there are corpses there. Angel starts to gag on the smell.) Easy."
A still coughing: "The blood."
D helping support A: "It's never an easy sight. It's part of being human now."
A: "I'm going to kill that thing."
D: "Just remember that it's brutal, deadly, and (looks up) here!"
The demon jumps down from above and the fighting has begun.Doyle gets knocked out of the fight quickly. Angel tries to fight, but it's very obvious he won't win unless he has help.

Switch to Cordelia putting sticky notes on things in the office.
B comes in: "Angel? - Cordelia."
C (holds up an ax): "Is this antique?"
B: "Byzantine."
C lays it down again: "Mmm."
B: "Where is Angel?"
C (shruging): "I've decided not to feel sorry for myself.I'm taking matters into my own hands, organizing a little 'going out of business' sale to subsidize the severance package Angel never bothered setting up for me."
B: "Did he leave a message about where he went?"
C: "You know I'm in some real pain here and all you can do is talk about Angel. Has it even occurred to you how this whole turning human thing might affect me?"
B: "Regrettably - no. Look, if you know where he is, just tell me?"
C sighing: "He told me not to tell you."
B: "Is he in trouble? (Cordelia makes a face at that moment) Cordelia, what are we, in second grade here? Tell me!"
C: "Oh, you want to talk about being mature? Maybe it's time that *you* grew up and realized that you can't have everything.You can't have Angel and save the world. And anyway, it is your fault that he went to fight that thing by himself without.."
B: "What thing?"

Switch to Angel doing everything possible to stay alive. Angel gets on top of a silo and then the demon jumps up and this cause the both to fall through the silo.
The demon puts a foot on Angel's neck: "The end of days has begun and cannot be stopped. For anyone of us that falls, *ten* shall rise."
Just when almost all hope is lost, Buffy enters, getting the demon away from Angel.
B takes demon's sword: "You hurt my boyfriend."
M: "A great darkness is coming."
B: "You got that right."
The two fight. The demon gets the sword out of Buffy's hand and Buffy kicks the demon into a wall.
B: "Come on, this is the great warrior of darkness?"
There is more fighting. Buffy gets the demon's weapon out of his hand and the demon Picks Buffy up and throws her into a wall.
M: "Together you were powerful. Alone, you are dead. (He lifts Buffy by the throat) What do you think of the great warrior now?"
Angel picks up some salt from the ground: "Little bland. (Angel throws the salt at the demon's face) Needs salt."
Angel tries to get Buffy out of the way but the demon pushes Angel out of the way and Buffy tries to keep fighting..
A looks at the demon: "Thousand eyes...The jewel in its forehead! You have to smash the jewel."
Buffy picks up the demons weapon and does what Angel said.
M: "Ahhhhhh!"
There's a bright flash of light and the demon is gone.
Buffy geos to Angel and lays his head on her lap.
A: "Buffy, are you..."
B: "Shh, you're all right. That's all that matters.Shh, you're all right. (Kisses the top of his head) And it's over.And we're together."

Switch to the Oracles.
MO: "You again."
FO: "What have you brought me?"
A: "Famille Rose vase. (Angel tosses her the mahogany colored vase)Ching dynasty. Circa 1811."
FO: "Lovely."
MO: "Why are you here, lower being?"
A: "The Mohra demon said the end of days had begun.That others were coming, soldiers of darkness. I need to know ifhe was telling the truth."
MO: "As far as such things can be told."
A: "What happens to the Slayer when these soldiers come?"
FO: "What happens to all mortal beings. Albeit sooner in her case."
A: "She'll die? - Then I'm here to beg for her life."
The Oracles turn to leave: "It is not our place to grant life and death."
A: "Then I ask you to take mine back. (The oracles stop and turn) Look I can't protect her or anyone this way, not as a man."
FO: "You're asking to be what you were, a demon with a soul, because of the Slayer?"
MO turns away again: "Oh, this is a matter of love. Does not concern us."
A: "Yes, it does. The Mohra demon came to take a warrior from your cause - and it succeeded. I'm no good to you like this.I know you have it in your power to make this right. Please."
M: "What is done can not be undone."
FO: "What is not yet done can be avoided."
MO: "Temporal folds are not to indulge the - the whims of lower beings."
FO: "You are wrong. This one is willing to sacrifice every drop of human happiness and love he has ever known for another.He is not a lower being."
MO: "There is one way. But it is not to be undertaken lightly."
FO: "We swallow this day, as though it had never happened.Twenty-four hours from the moment the demon first attacked you, we take it back."
A: "Then none of this happened and Buffy andI.. What - what'll stop us from doing the exact same thing?"
FO: "You. You alone will carry the memory of this day...Can you carry that burden?"

Switch to the clock, which sits on Angel's wall. It says 8:56.
Buffy is pacing in Angel's apartment.Angel come in walking slowly down the stairs
B: "I'm guessing that expression isn't because they were all out of fresh OJ at the deli. - What happened?"
A: "Nothing happened. - I just.."
B: "Where have you been?"
A: "I went to see the Oracles. I asked them to turn me back."
B: "What? - Why?"
A: "Because more then ever I know how much I love you."
B starts backing away: "No. No, you didn't."
A follows: "And if I stayed mortal one of us would wind up dead, maybe both of us. You heard what Mohra said."
B: "Mohra's gone. We killed him."
A: "He said others would come."
B: "They always come. And they always will. But that's my problem now, not yours, remember?"
A: "No, I won't just stand by and let you fight, maybe die, alone."
B: "Then we fight together."
A: "Buffy, you saw what happened last night. If anything I'm a liability to you. You take chances to protect me, and that's not just bad for you, it's bad for the people we were meant to help."
B: "So what? You just took a whole 24 hours to weigh the ups and downs of being a regular Joe and decided it was more fun being a superhero?"
A: "You know that's not it. How can we be together if the cost is your life, or the lives of others? (Buffy stares and Angel, and Angel pulls Buffy towards him into an embrace) I know.I couldn't tell you. I wasn't sure - if I could do it if I woke up with you one more morning."
B (close to crying): "I understand. - So, what happens now?'
A: "The Oracles are giving us back the day, turning back time, so I can kill Mohra before his blood makes me mortal."
B: "When?"
A looks at the clock (it says 9:00): "Another minute."
B starting to cry: "A minute? No. No, it's not enough time!"
A: "We don't have a choice. It's done."
B: "How am I supposed to go on with my life knowing what we had? What we could have had?"
A: "You won't. No one will know but me."
B: "Everything we did."
A: "It never happened."
B shakes her head almost frantically: "It did. It did. I know it did! (Puts her hand on his heart) I felt your heart beat."
A: "Buffy.."
They kiss one last time. Buffy turns to look at the clock. There's fifteen seconds left. Then there's another shot of the clock and there's about five seconds left.
B: "No! Oh God. It's not enough time."
A starts to cry: "Shh, please. Please."
They hold each other, never wanting to let go ever again.
A: "Please, shhh, please."
B: "No. I'll never forget. I'll never forget.I'll never forget. I'll never forget."
There's a flash and Buffy and Angel are back in Angel's office.
Angel is at his desk lookinga round a little disorientated. Buffy is standing near the door.
B: "So, then let's just stick to the plan. Keep our distance until a lot of time has passed, and given enough time - we should be able to.."
A looks at her, obviously upset: "Forget."
B: "Yeah. - So - I'm gonna go - start forgetting."
The demon jumps through he window again and Angel quickly smashes the jewel with the clock on his desk.
B a little surprised: "That was unreal. - How did you know how to kill it?"
A: "It's a Mohra demon. I - I had a lot of time to catch up on my reading."
B nods, somewhat not believing Angel: "Yeah. Okay. - So I guess we've covered it, right?"
A: "I guess we did."
B: "And that's all there really is to say."
Angel looks down at the clock...9:02...When he looks up again Buffy has already left.
A: "Yeah. - That's it."
