In the 1841 census Joseph and Mary only have one daughter living there, Lucy aged five. There may have been other siblings as Lucy was born late in the lives of Joseph and Mary (Joseph was between 50 and 55 and Mary between 40 and 45). Also present in the house is Joseph's aunt, Sarah Woffenden, who is aged between 65 and 70 years. I assume she is the widow of one of Joseph's uncles and is not to be confused with Joseph's aunt, Sarah Woffenden (b.1782). Joseph was listed as an agricultural labourer in this 1841 census and listed as a farmer on the marriage certificate of his daughter, Lucy, in 1856. I am not sure when he died.
