BIOGRAPHY:
These details are based on the earlier assumption that the Margaret Henderson who went on to marry Thomas Keith in Old Machar in 1804 was the same Margaret Henderson who was christened in Old Machar in 1785.

It is not certain when John Henderson was born. I know that it had to be between 1740 and 1763, probably in Old Machar, Aberdeenshire. There was a John Henderson christened on 14 July 1754 in Old Machar to Alexander Henderson and Janet Still. As the age fits perfectly I believe this as a possibility of being the correct person. It makes him twenty-seven when he married and thirty-nine when his last child was born.

What is certain is that John married Ann Garden on 8 November 1781 in Old Machar. They went on to have eight children between 1783 and 1793. I have no details of John's occupation or when he died.
