CHRISTENED: | Probably either 9 May 1756 or 26 December 1758 - Old Machar, Aberdeen, Scotland |
MARRIAGE: | 8 November 1781 - Old Machar, Aberdeen, Scotland |
DEATH: | Unknown |
KNOWN ADDRESSES: | None |
These details are based on the earlier assumption that the Margaret Henderson who went on to marry Thomas Keith in Old Machar in 1804 was the same Margaret Henderson who was christened in Old Machar in 1785. It is not certain when Ann Garden was born. I know that it had to be between 1740 and 1763, probably in Old Machar, Aberdeenshire. There was an Ann Garden christened on 9 May 1756 in Old Machar to William Garden and Isabel Fewns. There was also an Ann Garden christened on 26 December 1758 to Robert Garden and Janet Martin. It is highly likely that these two Ann's were related (perhaps cousins) and that one of them was the same Ann Garden who went on to marry John Henderson on 8 November 1781. It is certain that an Ann Garden married John Henderson on 8 November 1781 in Old Machar. They went on to have eight children between 1783 and 1793. I have no details of when she died. |
