About Mark of Carnac

Moving on. ... Sept 2007 I met this wonderfull lady, Wendy.

I met Lauren sometime early 2004. We started dating in June 2004.
She moved in with me Sep 30th 2004. We handfasted in June 4th 2005.

On August 14th 2006 sometime mid-day she past away, suddenly, unexpectedly.

She will be terribly missed, by many. She was a wonderfull women full of fire and passion. I thank you all for your support and thoughts during this time of sorrow.

Who am I? Well... I'm still trying to figure that out. "Know thyself" are though words to live by if you really try. And what would be a personal website without a biography. But this is not meant to be a personal ad or a character description.

What's in a name. Marc de Carnac, or Mark of Carnac, is a pseudoname of course. Why don't I use my real name on the net? Unfortunately there are still a lot of hatemongers and fundamentalist that will go to great lenght to annoy and/or interfere in others' lives in the name of their beliefs.

Carnac is a town in Brittany France where there is a great alignment of rocks. I chose that name because I am of french ancestry and I happen to like big rock gardens, like the ones in Carnac or in Stonehenge England. Rocks speak of tranquility, endurance, permanance. Rocks have carried engraved records of human past through the ages.

Past places lived: Provinces of Québec (Valleyfield, Montréal, Chatauguay), Manitoba (Winnipeg), Alberta (Edmonton), Newfoundland (St-John's) and in Ontario (Kingston, North Bay, Ottawa {home for today} ).
Favourite places: Where there are trees, rocks, creeks, and ponds, but not too far from major cities!

Religion: I won't follow anything dogmatic or rigid. My beliefs are rather syncretic. Click on 'Beliefs' to learn more. .

Art: If it's beautiful, it's art :-) I'm not an artistic person but I do appreciate some art. I also like anything natural: Nature paintings, Wild life, Nudes.

TV: Star Trek, all of them. Preferred characters: Spok, Jean-Luc and Data.
StarGate, BattleStar Galactica.

Music: I am sensitive to sounds and some appeal to me more than others. I like Clannad, Enya, David Bowie, SuperTramp, Jethro Tull, Tchaikovsky.

Books: Love to read books. Mostly about mythology, spirituality, occult, paganism, celtic and a bit of philosophy. If you want to see my list, email me.

Qualification: Telecommunication System Technician. (Resume on request only). For the last five years: Computer support, server admin, webmaster, DBA, programmer, SQL, VB, MS-Access. Yes I do webpages.

Hobbies: In order of preference: reading, networking, nature walks, and I also make my own wine, usually white.
