Before we began to head back, we climbed to the top of unnamed 11,545' to capture one more shot of Headwaters Hill. The view below is looking towards the southwest - basically the same direction as the photo you saw on page 3 of this hike, except that photo was taken from the foot of 11,545', whereas this view is on top of 11,545'. In the middle of the photo, you can see the Colorado/Continental Divide Trail. You can't see the dirt track in this photo, but it splits off the Trail right about where it enters the trees, and heads up to the top of Headwaters Hill. The Trail itself continues to the right, towards Windy Peak - part of which you can see at the far right. Going the other direction, the Trail winds around the left (east) side of 11,545'. The ridge running between the camera and the summit of Headwaters Hill forms the Continental Divide; water to the left of the ridge drains into the Arkansas River; water to the right flows into the Gunnison.
After this photo, we followed the Divide northward until we met back up with the Trail.
