These are some of my best haiku and senryu of 1997.

That year real life started to seriously interfere ;-) with 'Net life...
I still wrote quite a lot, but my self-criticism also grew.
Small wonder, then, that I posted less...

sunshine:
how bright
below the horizon!
never mind
these tears: sunny day
but the wind's raw
long wait:
the neighbour's clock
strikes two
far, far away
beyond the traffic
a nightingale
busy day –
two movies, a novel
and a cup of tea
scratch of a pen –
sitting cross-legged
in an easy chair
Midsummer Eve
the smell of birch twigs
same as
when I was six
a kiss, a touch –
the empty glasses
left on the table
a howl
at the balcony door...
wind left out
In memoriam Nils Nilsson
now he's gone
what will become of
his house, his books?
