Hi, your humble webmaster here! I've been a fan of heavy metal since hearing 'No Prayer For The Dying' by Maiden in '89 and I progressed through Def Leppard to W.A.S.P! Who have been my favourites since I heard 'Still Not Black Enough' in '95. 2000 has been a momentous year for heavy metal, with W.A.S.P's best of, Dio and Maiden's new releases and, of course, Silicon Messiah by Blaze, which is my pic of the bunch! I am a goth at heart (hence 'moth', a creature with a dark fate) and I love W.A.S.P's dark stuff, and Maiden's 'X Factor' but mostly my ears are tuned in to great metal, most of the bands that are referred to as 'oldies' these days! |

Why do I like 'Silicon Messiah'??
1: Nobody can deny the music and the vocals, they are faultless, memorable and moshable!!!
2: Good subject matter, not one easily relatable to, but a debatable issue. Like Sabbath's Dehumanizer or Fear Factory's Obsolete.
3: Feel good factor 10!!! Just a general freshness and good feeling about Blaze, holding the flag for British metal along with Iron Maiden and Dio. |
