Meet The Tally Household!
(Please be patient. We take a couple of minutes to load.
There are 9 of us, and our mom thinks we're so cute she put up too many pictures-we're really worth the wait though. Honest!)

We're all adopted strays, some from shelters, some from outside our house. The first 5 were adopted in August of 1996, shortly after we lost Tardy. Boots was left behind when his owner moved out of his apartment, and turned out to have a serious health problem which made him difficult for the shelter to place. Donovan and Tally (father and son) were left behind when their family moved away. Zeke is a feral, trapped and semi-socialized by caring shelter workers. Gizmo's feral mom was hit by a car in September 1996 and we adopted him from a rescue group that same month. Kenya and 2 of her littermates survived after being thrown out of a moving car window and we adopted her in December of 1996. Sammy, Buster and Scamp were strays that showed up on our doorstep with several health problems. Boots and Sammy are on Interferon for their chronic stomatitis. We all live indoors only now, here in Tallyville, and are doing quite nicely, thank you very much. Life here is pretty good, once we learned how to wrap the humans around our paws.

This is Kenya, our only female! We adopted her as a 3 month old kitten. She was found in a dumpster as a newborn. UPDATE: 6/2006: Kenya has Megacolon which has become worse with age. She's on Lactulose and Bisocodyl to help her out.

This is Gizmo, otherwise known as Dizzy Gizzy. I guess you can see why! Gizzy is a high strung feral adjusting nicely. In 1999 Gizmo was diagnosed with Chronic Pyelonephritis - a precursor to CRF. He's on SubQ fluids and takes Methionine once a day to balance his urinary ph.

Boots, our "Special Needs" Maine Coon with Lymphocytic Plasmacytic Stomatitis.  Boots is a chronic Feline Herpes carrier and suffers from a continual erosion of the lining of his gums, mouth and throat. Boots takes Interferon once a day and, L-lysine and Antirobe twice daily. You can read about this disease on Boot's Page. He's doing great, thanks to our wonderful vet.

And this is why I don't spend much time on the computer. My cats have staged a sit-in! Donny thinks a flatbed scanner is a Flat Bed!

Now please go on to meet Zeke, Donovan & Tally ....(they're waiting for you on the next page....)
