Leslie and Gong-Li(2nd from the right) worked together a couple of times.
It was said that in the movie "Tempress Moon"(風月) there was a part
where Leslie showed his bottom(!)
but was unfortunately cut by director Chen.

May 1996 Leslie invested in the coffee shop Wei-Ni-Zhong-Ching.
His mom was also at the opening.
Andy Lau and Leslie worked together
in movie "Shanghai Grand" (新上海灘) 1996.
Also in 1996, Leslie starred in "Viva Erotica"
along with Shu-Qi and Karen Mok.
Director Yi Dong-Sing even let Leslie direct a scene
in the movie so he gets a taste of directing.
1997 winter, Leslie announced his return with his
Concert 1997-1998. Shu-Qi was one of the guests.
Their daring performances provoked controversy.
The concert was still a complete success!
Leslie and Tony Leung both got nominated as the
best actor for movie "Happy Together" at the HK film award.
The three of them (with Carina Lau) attended together.
Leslie continued his contract with Rock Records
in Taiwan, 1998 May.
1998 July, Leslie and Takako Tokiwa starred in "Moonlight Express",
HK, Japan, China, Taiwan, Singapore, Korea, and Malaysia all invested.
1998 October Leslie's mother passed away due
to
cancer.He was very annoyed with the media that caused
troubles to his family.
During the Taiwan earthquake shows were held to help the funding,
here Leslie was partners with Chan Bo-Chu.
