Ro's twin brother. He moved away from St. Louis after his sister's death and went to Brooklyn and found a job at a law office. He works as a secretary there and makes very good money. He and Ro look a lot alike, both having black hair and fairly tanned skin, but he has spectacular blue eyes while Ro has light gray ones. He and Ro visit each other often, and about all the Jersey City girls enjoy seeing Ro's handsome brother. Created by Ro. No one knows quite how old he is, but was found by Prophecy in June of 1902. He looked about six to eight months old when he was found. Bryce is dark skinned with black hair and dark brown eyes. He is small for his age because he was ill for along time. Bryce got very sick at the end of August and fell into a coma. After he made no improvements in the Jersey City hospital, Flicker took him out of the hospital, endangering his life. Flicker took him to St. Mary's Mission in Harlem, where they cared for him well. In October, Bryce woke from the coma, but had to remain at the Mission until the beginning of April, when Flicker was allowed to take him home. He sees Flicker as he mother, instead of Trisha. Commonly known as Remay. He runs the mob in St. Louis and is generally a very dangerous man, but somehow Ro always seems to quell him. He has a tenement out near the river that holds all his employees, whores and thugs alike. He has blue eyes, light brown hair, and a little over 6 feet. Created by Ro. Jeremy's handsome twenty-five year old face can be found back in the kitchen, behind the bar, or waiting on tables at the Grille. He stands at six feet, has dark blond hair and hazel eyes. Jeremy is a fun guy who many people like. He has his eye on Trisha and always tries to go out with her when she has free time. Created by Gina. Currently appears in Angel Above.

Remay's previous hitman. Flicker had overheard a mob conversation, and Jonah was sent after her. Flicker's best friend Hugs got in the way, and Jonah killed her instead. Once Jonah realized he'd killed the wrong newsgirl, he started looking for the right one, for Flicker. When Ro moved into town a few months later, she made a deal with Remay that as long as she was a member of the mob, Remay's thugs would leave the newsgirls alone. They held true to their word. She was about five or six months old when she was found by Prophecy in June of 1902. Kaylie has fine, light blond hair and bright blue-green eyes. She is very happy and playful. Stephen Johnson, age 55, runs the boys house, which is constantly active and often times is a mess. He is very easy on the boys and trusts them to do the right thing. If they have a problem, he will try to help the best he can. Juliesta Johnson, age 49, is in charge at the girls' house. She is very loving to the girls and provides some sort of breakfast for the girls on the weekends. The Johnson's travelled to America from Germany after they lost their home in a fire. When they arrived in New Jersey to stay with Stephen's brother, the streets were filled with children who had no homes. Using all the money they had, they bought a four leveled building, including the attic, and started to take kids in. Once there were three girls staying in the building, they began searching for another building for the girls. Talia "Prophecy" Thurgood is nineteen years old who can sense danger is going to happen. She has blond hair with lighter sunstreaks and her eyes are ocean blue. Her half brother, Whiskers, is a newsboy in Greenwich Village. Prophecy's little sister, Erika, lives in an orphanage near Jersey City. Her little brother, America, still lives at the boys house, so she stops by often to visit. She left the house at the beginning of October 1902 to keep Sweet Pea and Blue Bells safe from their harmful family who was coming after them. After she got the twins settled in a new place, she came back to Jersey City and became a nanny for a wealthy family. Created by Prophecy. Currently appears in nothing.

He was the head of the mob in St. Louis until his "untimely death" a year after Ro moved to Jersey City. He had pulled Raleigh O'Rourke into the mob and had given her the nickname Ro. The two had been lovers until she ran away and faked her own death. He tracked her down with much effort with the intention of taking her back to St. Louis with him. No one left his mob without a proper dismissal. He had hazel eyes, shaggy brown hair, skin on the darker side of fair, and is about 6 feet tall, and a very cruel look about him. He captured Ro at one point, but she escaped. During her retreat, Stefano caught up with her, beginning the subsequent brawl. During this, Stefano died. Taking the responsibility now owed to her, Ro took several of his posessions and went back to St. Louis to claim herself as the head of the mob. Created by Ro. Lucas and Camille Bergstrom own the Grille, which they inherited from Lucas' parents. Lucas works with the money for the Grille, but otherwise does not do much for it. If they are low on staff, he works in the kitchen. Camille was a waitress before she had her baby, Hayley Noelle, at the end of January 1902. She will wait on tables if one of the waitresses is sick, but otherwise stays with her seamstressing. Created by Gina. Currently appears in nothing.

Trisha is pretty, twenty-four year old with waist length dark brown hair and crystal blue eyes. She appearred at the lodging house in 1897 and became the leader of the girls once the house opened in 1898. In July of 1900, Trisha was offered a full time job at the Grille and a room above to rent. Knowing it was time to move on, she accepted and moved out of the lodging house, leaving Flicker and Lady Luck in charge. Currently, Trisha works at the Grille during the day and takes the night shifts at the theater. Besides juggling her busy work schedules, she takes care of two toddlers, Bryce and Kaylie, who were found in an alley by Prophecy. Zoe was formerly known as Tumbles when she was a newsgirl. She has shoulder length hair which can barely be pulled into a ponytail and her brown eyes are always scanning the room for something interesting. Her small, 4'7" frame weighs only 63 pounds, which makes her look rather delicate. Born in Scotland to a poor family, Zoe was sold to a rich man, Mr. Andrews, who lived in New York. He was running for re-election and wanted to seem like a good man. She was spoiled rotten, but it never went to her head. Zoe remained sweet, but always had a bit of sadness inside of her since Mr. Andrews never had time to spend with her. When she was ten, she got a telegram telling her that her birth parents died. Heartbroken, she got no support and love from Mr. Andrews, so she ran away. She arrived in Jersey City and became a newsie, even though she was not good at it. In April of 1902, the Schneider's, a rich family in Jersey City, were in search of a maid and a friend for their children. Zoe heard about it and quickly applied since the pay and housing was great.
