Freckles
Freckles was a beautiful tabby cat and very quickly earned herself a place in our hearts. She walked into our lives one day and introduced us to the joys of being owned by a cat. Up to that point, I had always thought that I didn't like cats!
I think the most difficult thing I've ever had to do was to give her away, which I had to in 2002. She really should have always been an "only cat," but circumstances conspired to keep that from being the case and I ended up with a housefull. I had a choice of finding a home for her, or finding homes for all the others. I'm sure she's much happier now, not having to share her family's affections with a bunch of other cats. But I still miss her.
