The CoCo-3 power-supply
transistor has a cross reference to NTE-152.
A NPN, 4A, 90V, hfe 40-100, 40W, Vebo 5v, Vce 1.5v. I imagine that if you
got a part that doubled the 4A to 8A, it may run cooler? That would be
a new (as yet un-tried) part number, NTE-377.
My Garage / Basement Workshop. Kinda cold, as the door faces North,
but I'm hoping that this summer is hot!
