Week of November 4, 2002
Freshman Thomas Vanek was named WCHA Rookie of the Week after collecting a hat trick and 3 assists in Friday nights 12-1 win over Alabama-Huntsville. He added an assist on Saturday for a total of 7 points in the series.

Week of November 25, 2002
Defenseman Paul Martin, who had four assists in a home-ice sweep over Michigan Tech, was named WCHA Offensive Player of the Week.

Week of December 9, 2002
Sophomore goaltender Travis Weber has been named WCHA Defensive Player of the Week after Minnesota's two-game sweep of Wisconsin. Weber stopped 46 of 48 shots in the two games.

Week of January 1, 2003
For the second time in a month, sophomore goaltender Travis Weber was named WCHA Defensive Player of the Week. The Gophers won the Dodge Holiday Classic Championship with Weber stopping 60 of 64 shots in the two games played.

Week of February 3, 2003
Junior Troy Riddlewas named WCHA Offensive Player of the week in the Gophers sweep over Alaska-Anchorage. Riddle had 2 goals and 1 assist in Friday's game and 2 assists in Saturday's game.

Freshman Thomas Vanek was named WCHA Rookie of the Week for the second time this season. Vanek collected 2 assists Friday night and 2 goals and 1 assist on Saturday.
