10/12/02 - Freshmen Thomas Vanek, Tyler Hirsch, and Gino Guyer scored the first goals of their college careers in the Gophers 7-2 win over Ohio State.

10/25/02 - Freshmen Thomas Vanek and Gino Guyer each had the first two goal game on their careers. The Gophers beat Michigan Tech 5-4.

11/01/02 - Junior Jon Waibel recorded the first hat trick of his career against the University of Alabama - Huntsville.

11/01/02 - Junior Troy Riddle recorded the first hat trick of his college career against Alabama - Huntsville.

11/01/02 - Freshman Thomas Vanek picked up the first hat trick of his collegiate career. The Gophers went on to beat Alabama - Huntsville by a score of 12-1.

11/02/02 - Freshman Chris Harrington scored the first goal of his college career against Alabama - Huntsville.

11/09/02 - Freshman P.J. Atherton and Junior Joey Martin scored their first career goals in the Gophers 7-4 win against Minnesota State, Mankato.

12/6/02 - Sophmore Travis Weber recorded his first career shutout stopping 31 shots in the Gophers 3-0 win over Wisconsin.

1/16/03 -Senior Chad Roberg scored the first goal of his career in the Gophers exhibition game vs. the U.S. Under 18 Team.
