WCHA Players of the Week
(During 2001-2002 Season)



Week of Oct. 29 -
Sophmore Paul Martin was named WCHA Defensive Player of the Week. Martin had 1 goal and 3 assists in the Gophers series against Colgate.


Week of Nov. 12 -
John Pohl was named WCHA Offensive Player of the Week. Pohl scored 2 goals and added 2 assists in the Gophers week-end sweep of MSU.


Week of Nov. 26 -
Junior Jeff Taffe earned WCHA Offensive Player of the Week honors for his performance in the College Hockey Showcase. Taffe scored a hat trick against Michigan, and had an assist against Michigan State.


Week of Feb. 18 -
Sophmore Troy Riddle was named Co-Offensive Player of the Week after collecting a career-high seven points last weekend vs. Colorado College.


Week of Feb. 25 -
Senior Adam Hauser has been named WCHA Defensive Player of the Week after helping Minnesota sweep Wisconsin. Hauser stopped 57 out of 63 shots during the week-end sweep.
