10/5/01 -Freshman Mike Erickson scored his first collegiate goal against North Dakota.

10/5/01 -Freshman goalie Travis Weber recorded his first collegiate win in the Gophers 7-5 victory over North Dakota.

10/19/01 - Freshman Barry Tallackson recorded the first goal of his collegiate career in the Gophers 7-2 win over Bemidji.

10/26/01 -Freshman Keith Ballard scored the first goal of his college career during the Gophers 8-0 win over Colgate.

10/27/01 - Freshman goaltender Justin Johnson earned his first win and shutout as a Golden Gopher. Justin stopped 28-of-28 shots against Colgate.

11/3/01 - Freshman Jake Fleming collected his first career goal against Michigan Tech.

11/23/01 - Junior Jeff Taffe collected his first career hat trick in the Gophers 5-2 win over Michigan.

11/25/01 - Freshman Brett MacKinnon scored his first career goal against Michigan State.

1/12/02 - Freshman Garrett Smaagaard collected his first goal as a Golden Gopher during a 6-2 win over Wisconsin.
