WCHA Players of the Week
(During 2000-2001 Season)
Week of Oct. 9 -
Senior Erik Westrum was named the WCHA Offensive Player of the Week. Westrum scored two goals in the Gophers 7-3 win over Notre Dame.
Week of Nov. 6 -
Adam Hauser was named the WCHA Defensive Player of the week after the Gophers sweep of Wisconsin. Hauser had 31 saves in the 4-0 shut out on Friday night. Saturday night he stopped 36 of 38 shots in a 5-2 victory.
Week of Nov. 20 -
Junior Adam Hauser was named the WCHA Defensive Player of the week after a sweep against St. Cloud State. Hauser stopped 57-of-60 shots during the two-game sweep.
Week of Jan. 8 -
John Pohl was named Offensive Player of the week after scoring 3 goals and 2 assists in the Gophers sweep of Alaska Anchorage.
Week of Jan. 16 -
Jordan Leopold was named Defensive Player of the week after the Gophers split with North Dakota. Leopold had 1 goal and 1 assist for the week-end.
Week of Jan. 22 -
Grant Potulny was named WCHA Rookie of the week. Potulny recorded the first hat trick of his college career in an 8-2 win over Wisconsin on Jan. 20.
Week of Feb. 19 -
Adam Hauser was named WCHA Defensive Player of the week after a 6-1, 4-1 sweep of Colorado College. Hauser stopped a total of 50 out of 52 shots over the week-end.
Freshman Troy Riddle was named WCHA Rookie of the week after the sweep against Colorado College. Riddle had 3 goals and 1 assist in the two games.
