Your section on cirque of the unclimbables is severely tantalizing! Your picture gallerys are great, and the descriptions also. I am sorry about your father, but what a lifetime of incredible accomplishments!

Just saying thank you for sharing some of the highlights of your amazing career in the mountains and extending sincere condolences for the loss of your father--obviously a great man whose like, regrettably, we see too seldom in our day.

Very sorry about your dad's death. I know how that feels. I met George a couple of times through Mike Altherr, one of his colleagues at LANL and a long-time climbing buddy and scientific collaborator of mine. Mike had your dad sign my copy of K2, the S
vage Mountain for me. Your father will be greatly missed. As Tom Hornbein put it to me, "George was one of the good ones."

George,
Sorry to hear about the loss of your father. I lived in Los Alamos from 1986 to 1995, my mom still lives there. I never "met" your father, but saw him on the trails around the area and admired him from afar. I wish now I had gathered the nerve and talk
d to him, but I was in high school and didn't want to be an annoying fan :-)
Take care,
Jeff

Your site is very enjoyable. As I read the trip reports to Crimson Chrysalis and Epinephrine, the former in which I have climbed and the latter which I have not, I almost picked up the phone to book a red eye flight to Vegas. Sites like this mean a lot
o people who don't have daily access to the mountains. Keep up the good work, it is much appreciated.

Whoa! Until I found the Cirque site I was in the Dark! This is the stuff. I was ordering the wrong maps from Canada because I thought the Cirque was in the Park! Question, Are you related to the George Bell who attempted K2 in 1953?

What I can say, just great.
I´m agree with you one of my favourites mountains is the Long´s Peak. Iworked in the Rockcy Mountain N.P. for two summers at The Trail Ridge Store. That national park is absoutly great for mountaniering.
I´m not a real rock climber I tried but..
I consider myself like a decent mountanier. I have a question for you sure you can help me, I´m planning a trip next september to the national park in Alberta: Banff, Jasper... can you recomend me any sacramble there or wich peaks I can climb (I mean no t
chnical rock climbing) something around class 3 or class 4.
Thank you very much.

Thanks George. What a great site! Had real pleasure looking through the slide shows and left the site with much more inspiration and information than when I arrived. Heading down to the climbing wall to get some training in for trips to Gogarth (N Wales).
Thanks for the extra psyche. Antony

Thanks for your slides. I've been remembering my trip to Peru, to climb the "Chopi" six years ago.
Have you been in Huaraz again?
Gracias por tus fotos: me han hecho recordar mi ascensión al Chopi en 1994. Tenía entonces la misma cara que ahora. Espero volver algún día.

Rick Seegers and Sue Yeazel mentioned that you had a site in their X-mas card so I had to check it out. It brings back good memories. I am married now with wife Kay and two girls Savannah, 4, and Rebecca 2. My outdoor activities have dwindled greatly o
er the years, this is my first peak in 6 years, and the first one I bagged in 11. Kay got elevation sickness on Shasta on our honeymoon and hasn't let me forget it. If your job ever brings you to the Atlanta area let me know, I'd love for you to meet th
family.

I really like the desert rock photos and the TR of canyonlands climb (Moses, I think). I'm just researching TR's and photos of canyonlands because I'm heading out there at the end of January for a weekend of climbing (hope the weather is nice). Great jo
on the websites (like the index of TR's too).
