I was starved for info on the Cirque of the Unclimmables till I found this site. You explained the location of the Vampire Spires as well, which had left me scratching my head as well. Well Done!

Enjoyed your trip reports. Connected via Gary Clark's page. He first introduced me to climbing in Los Alamos 10 years ago. I am now living in denver and climb in Eldo as often as I can. I hope this page is still around when I eventually get to the Cirque f the Unc.

thanks alot for the great sites. I lived in CO the last 10 years, moved to seattle last year and spend regular time pining for my old home. the cirque around chasm lake is perhaps my favorite place in the world. I've climbed the casual, been up the keyhol and skied the trough. thanks for the pictures and memories!

AWESOME!!! Was led to your page via Ken Leiden's Denali photos.......both were impressive. Some friends and I "climbed" Kilimanjaro August '98, a walkup compared to Denali. Wonderful photography, and all I checked out was the Alaska shots. THANKS!!

Stumbled on in. Try Iceland sometime for tons of great waterfall ice. Lots of unclimbed stuff within a couple of hours from Reykjavik. And it never gets too cold here. Windy yes, but that's what goretex is for.

Great site. Came here wondering if you were the George Bell of K2 fame. Are you related? My mom used to work with him in Los Alamos, and his slide show of the '53 K2 expedition triggered my own interest in climbing.

Well done site! I very much enjoy it. Thanks again. And here I am, again following the Roachs around - I wandered up onto El Capitan in Guadalupe Mtns. NP New Years Eve '96 and found a glass jar with their names inside, only 2 years before I was there only 2-3 ascents per year). And now I see them in your 'summit register'!
