Horses don't like the same treats we do and that's no exception for the Spirit cast! Spirit, Rain, and all of the other horses love carrots, apples, sugar cubes, and peppermints just as much as real horses do. In my kitchen I have at home, I did some recipies of my own for horses that spice up the usual fair. Try them on your wild mustang!

Spirit's Peanut Butter Apples
Needed:
One Apple
One Jar of Peanut Butter
Slice and core the apple and add small amounts of peanut butter to one side of the apple. Some horses may not like this sticky snack so you better just give them a taste first and see how they react. If they don't like it, you can always eat it, it makes a good human snack too.
Rain's Whipped Carrots
Needed:
Two Carrots
One Container Cool Whip
Slice carrots into four or five peices, depending on size. Spoon a little Cool Whip onto the carrot peices. Feed to your horse. I've had great results with this one. Vanilla ice cream can be substituted for the Cool Whip.
Little Creek's Fried Apples
Needed:
Two Apples
Granulated Sugar ("regular" sugar)
Brown Sugar
Cinnamon
Butter
Slice and core the apples. Heat a frying pan (medium heat) and butter it so apples won't stick. Pour in apple slices and desired amounts of sugars and cinnamon. Cook until apples are "mushy". Cool and serve. I have not tried this recipe out on my horse yet but if you do and can tell me how it turned out, I would be very greatful.
