Welcome to the homepage of Fredericton's Barter Network! This network is based on the Local Economic Trading System (LETS) model. For the past month, a small group of people have been working to set up this barter network for the Fredericton area. With time, we hope that this can become a currency that is much-used and well-loved in the Fredericton area. This currency has a lot of potential as a tool for community development. It can: strengthen community ties increase people's spending power encourage local trade encourage us all to learn new skills The Fredericton Barter Network will host a potluck supper for anyone who would like to become a member, or who would simply like to learn more about us. The potluck will be on July 10th at 5:30, at the Unitarian Fellowship, 874 York Street. All are welcome, so bring a dissh of food to share and a few friends if you would like!
