July 08 MMC - Wonders of the World


Had some fun with this, starting from the caption shown above as the concept
Wanted a mashed-up mess of structures borrowing bits from round the world
Ran out of time somewhat as usual, so texturing and lighting suffered a bit
- mostly as I spent too long making buildiings and vehicles etc for the background!
Someone spotted a Gerry Andersen theme - whilst the rocket was intentional, the
trucks were less so, but I quite like how they all turned out. A few 'work in
progress' images below for some of the bits and bobs. Used a Terragen backdrop
with some TS fog to blend it into the picture, plus several depth passes for
post-processed depth of field
