I was brought up and now live in the sunny Medway Towns in Kent, England, but I also have a bit of Scottish blood in me. After completing my A-Levels I went to Cardiff University where I gained an MEng degree in Civil Engineering Design and Management, which was more interesting than it sounds.

After graduating in 1999, I started work as a Structural Engineer in London with an international firm called Buro Happold who, amongst other things, made sure that the Millennium Dome stands up and are a good natured lot! After working for a year, I completed an MA in Computer Imaging in Architecture at Westminster University, studying part time whilst carrying on the day job. Since then, I've got married and had two kids, which doesn't leave a lot of time for much else... Work).

I enjoy going to the movies, go-karting and have tried sailing and parascending, which I would definitely recommend, but my main pass-time is music: I enjoy listening to quite a range of stuff and play the guitar, the bass and the drums, mainly at my family church.
