Marshall Ozee, 68, of 3300 State Route 1 in Elizabethtown, died at 3:45 p.m. Tuesday, March 23, 1999 in the Springdale Care Center at Salem, Ky. Mr. Ozee was born on Jan. 24, 1931 in the Saline Mines community to Alvin and Edna (Patton) Ozee. Mr. Ozee was a member of the National Rifle Association and the American Plott Association. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William Ozee and two sisters, Wilma Price and Elizabeth Cruse. He is survived by a son, Scott Ozee of Cottage Hills; six daughters, Anita Mitchell of Elizabethtown, Linda Roth of Jerseyville, Janet McDonald of Cottage Hills, Judy Paul, of Alton, Marsha Hyatt of Bethalto, Betty Crowder of Woodriver; two brothers, Dale Ozee of Elizabethtown and Tom Ozee of Karbers Ridge; a sister, Nigel Schneider of Elizabethtown; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Cox and Son Funeral Home in Shawneetown. Rev. Arthur Austin will officiate at graveside services on Friday at 11 a.m. in Ozee Cemetery.
