Clan High-Guard Homepage

Ranks of the High Guard;
Admiralty;

Fleet Admiral: Reserved for the leaders of the clan. Fleet Admiral's typically have Omega clearance of level 4, and have access to every aspect of the clan including website and bot as well as the policies and rules of the clan. A decision made by a Fleet Admiral is final and can only be revoked by a group meeting of the Fleet Admirals.

Admiral: The highest rank achievable by a general clan member, Admiral's are expert players who have gone through extensive training in all aspects of the game. They are exemplary in their conduct and even better at the game. They typically have Omega 2 and 3 clearance, and have the responsibility of maintaining the more mundane aspects of the clan, dealing with public relations, recruits, member disputes and so forth.

Commodore: Members of this rank are in transition to the Admiralty. They are still field officer's, but typically will stay away from the front lines of combat. Because of their transitionary nature, Commodore's may have Sigma 4 or Omega 1 clearance.

Senior Officer's;

Captain: Captain's are expert players with excellent command ability. They are most often used as Squad leaders, but can also be used as general field officers. However, no squad may contain two Captain's and in general Captain's should not operate in clan war games together. Captain's may have Sigma 3 or 4 clearance.

Commander: Commander's are experienced players that have taken the Command test to ensure they have strong command ability. They may be used to command squadrons, but are most often used as Assistant Squad Leader's. They may have Sigma 1 or 2 clearance.

Junior Officer's;

Lieutenant Commander: Lieutenant Commander's are experienced players that have shown promise in the command area, but have not built up enough of a record and/or have not taken the Command test. They may be given Delta 3 or Sigma 1 clearance, depending on whether or not they have taken the Command test.

Lieutenant: These are members that have shown promise in their abilities, and have built up enough of a record and play enough to deserve a promotion. They may be given Delta 1 or 2 clearance.

Ensign: Ensign's are low-level members who are active enough on their clan accounts to warrant a promotion, and show promise in becoming upstanding officer's. Ensign's are the lowest ranked member that are in the clan as Enlisted Officer's. They are given only Delta 1 clearance.

UnEnlisted Officer's;

Crewman, 1st and 2nd Class: Crewmen come in two grades, 1st and 2nd Class. 2nd Class is reserved for players that desire to become members, but have to pass the entrance exam. The 2nd Class is typically reserved for war time as persons who have not passed the entrance test cannot typically represent the clan. When the clan is shorthanded, 2nd Class crewmen may be called in as reserve forces. Crewmen of the 1st Class are recent graduates of the entrance test with less than 10 wins, who have been in the clan less than a week or who are not active enough to warrant a promotion. They have no clearance level, are not officer's, and in peace time cannot represent the clan in unofficial matches until achieving the rank of Ensign.

Medals of the High Guard;

Silver Star: Each star is awarded for every 2 clan war matches won by a player up to a total of 5 stars.

Officer: Given to clan members who become Enlisted Officer's, a rank of Ensign or higher.

Command Officer: Given to clan members who pass the Command Officer's test.

Squad Leader: Given to the leader of a Squadron. Generally they are of rank Commander or Captain.

Assistant Squad Leader: Given to the Second in command of a Squadron. Generally they are of rank Commander.

Squad Ranking: A Squad Rank is given to members of a squadron. 4 bars are given to the Squad Leader, 3 to the Second in Command and to high ranking squad members, with 1 and 2 being for lower ranks.

Omega Clearance: Omega clearance is given to members of the Admiralty, clearing them for the top levels of information and authority in the clan.

Sigma Clearance: Given to Senior Officer's, clearing them for middle range information and giving them the authority of command.

Delta Clearance: Given to Junior Officer's who show promise in command. Delta level Officer's have the authority to command in a field situation. Delta 1 is 1 silver bar, Delta 2 is 2 silver bars, and Delta 3 is a single gold bar.

Medal of Honor: Given to a member that has repeatedly gone out of his/her way to uphold the code of honor that the clan stands for above and beyond what would normally be expected.

Medal of Valor: Given to members that consistently fight battles in an honorable way, keeping the dignity of the position they hold in the clan. It may also be awarded to members that always accept the outcome of a match with grace, win or lose.

Medal of Defense: Given to members that are outstanding in their defense. Typically, a person who earns this medal can mount an effective defense early in the game, and maintain it throughout while thwarting any type of attack thrown against them. If the line of defense is broken, they should be able to recover even while under fire, if not rebuild the defense while under fire.

Medal of Offense: Given to members that are outstanding in their offense. A person who earns this medal should be able to mount an effective offense early in the game without compromising the defense of the base. While the offensive tactics shouldn't be "cheap," (cannon rushing, etc) taking advantage of limitations in the map are positive marks towards earning this medal.

Meritorious Unit: Given to a member that time and again proves their worth. They will typically have several medals already, if not the praise of most people they come in contact with. They would be not merely a nice person, but someone who goes out of their way to help and assist others, or otherwise show themselves to be very valuable to the clan.

All medals shown above are the highest ranked medal available in the category, unless otherwise noted.
