Clan High-Guard Homepage

As you know, the High Guard is first and foremost an Elite clan, but one that believes in not using the quality of the hack as the determining factor in the excellence of the player. It is in the very founding charter of the clan that we don't use hacks. Even when someone hacks against us we prefer to simply wipe them out without resorting to their level, though there is allowance for using a hack to defeat one who uses so lame a hack that they can't be beat without using a hack against them. Even so, most hacks have a weak point in them that makes it extremely easy to defeat the enemy. Buildings built using a "Stack Hack" are extremely vulnerable to units that do splash damage(Siege Tanks, Reavers, etc) as well as, in the case of Cannons and similar defense, units that can attack from outside their attack range(Guardians, Ghosts dropping a nuke, etc).

That is, in a nutshell, the foundation of the High Guard, though we also serve as a social group through which players can discuss whatever they choose, but most importantly, to gather together in games to defeat any who would try to defeat us!
To that end, although we will give almost anyone the opportunity to try and join, only the best will be allowed to do so. The test used to determine excellence may change over time, however the current test involves up to 2 applicants engaging 4 enemy AI's in a Melee style game, or a Free For All, either of which can be determined by the administrators of the test. The AI's are unique in that they aren't -just- hard or insane AI, but are in fact Double and even Triple Insane AI's. If you can picture it, imagine how a regular insane AI is capable of dropping nukes, launching guardian and devourer//carrier and corsair//battlecruiser and wraith attacks that many players often favour, and other devestating attacks. Now imagine the AI doing those same things twice at the same time, or even three times. Now you've come close to the true danger of the AI in our entrance test. Often a single Triple Insane AI is capable of ripping a players base to shreds, but there will be 4 of them, so rushing one or even two may not be enough to save you, especially if the other two decide to launch the infamous Muta Bomb!

If we havn't made you make skid marks in your pants, you're just not getting the point, or you may be High Guard material. If you think you may be hot enough to join, jump onto our channel, Clan High-Guard, and ask if there's anyone authorized to give the test.
