The story of Sailor Moon begins with a high school girl named Serena. On her way to school one day Serena finds a cat on the road and decides to keep her. Little does she know that this cat can actually talk! The cats name is Luna of course and her mission was to find Sailor Moon and the other Sailor scouts in order to defeat the evil Queen Beryl and her henchmen of the Negaverse. Eventually Serena and Luna find the other Sailor Scouts, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter and Venus. Venus was actually first to be discovered by another talking cat named Artemis. Together the 5 Sailor Scouts with the help of the Cats defeat Queen Beryl and the threat of the Negaverse talking over the earth. Much of the first season deals with the past of Sailor Moon, including the war many years ago on the Moon, where the Negaverse was battling the Moon Kingdom. In order to save everyone on the Moon Kingdom, Queen Serenity, the Queen of the Moon Kingdom sent everyone to earth with no memory of their past on the moon, in order for them to live happy lives. She also captured the Negaverse in her silver crystal. Incase the Negaverse ever got free Queen Serenity sent her trusted friends Luna and Artemis to revive the Sailor Scouts in order to stop the Negaverse. Later on in the show Serena learns that her destiny, is to save the universe as Neo–Queen Serenity in the name of the Moon. After they defeat Queen Beryl and the Negaverse, Sailor moon and the team must battle Ann and Alan, and the Doom Tree, where they find out the Doom Tree was actually once called the Tree of Life. That story ends happily with Ann and Alan going to start a new life with a sprout of the tree freed from all evil. This part of the Sailor Moon series is considered Sailor Moon R part 1. Part 2, is a long story dealing a lot with the future of a future city called Crystal Tokyo. The Wiseman is the main villain in this story and he sends Rubeus, who comes from Dark Moon of the Negaverse, into the past to take over the past city of Crystal Tokyo in order for them to take over the world in the future. Rubeus brings 4 sisters with him from the future to help in the mission, Catsy, Birdy, Avery, Prisma the 4 sister one by one turn good and Rubeus is destroyed by Sailor Moon. Rubeus successor was Esmeraude who had just as much luck as he did. She went back a forth from the past to the future reporting to Prince Demando and Demando's younger brother Safiiru. Prince Demando is Prince of the Black moon family. His main goal is to get Neo-Queen Serenity (Sailor Moon) to be his queen. But she refuses and the Wiseman tries to kill her but Prince Demando saves her by taking the hit meant for her and dieing himself. His brother, Safiiru was also killed earlier by the Wiseman after betraying him for the good of the black moon family. Eventually Sailor Moon has a huge fight with the Wiseman and destroys him. After that season is over Sailor Moon R becomes Sailor Moon S and the story revolves around Dr. Tomoe and the Witches 5 trying to get their hands on pure heart crystals. Sailor Neptune and Uranus are introduced at the beginning of Sailor Moon S and also want the pure heart crystals but little do they know that they both have a pure heart crystal within themselves. Sailor Pluto and Saturn also makes an apperance in the series.
