The Dominance of Rural Issues During Mcblair’s Administrations.

Ruralites i.e. the landowning elite, pharmers and the pharming industry, have virtually set the agenda of mcblair's government ever since its election in 1997:-

the bse in Cattle crisis;

the demos at holyhead leading to the ransacking of a lorry and the dumping of meat in the docks;

the disputes over the lack of rural post offices, rural shops, rural pubs, rural banks, etc;

the reform of the house of lords;

the countryside march in 1998;

opposition to the ban on Fox hunting;

the three month-long bseef war with france in the autumn 1999;

the promotion of genetic engineering;

the refusal to take action over bse in Sheep;

the tony martin case where ruralites demanded that country folk should have the right to blast people (urbanites) in the back, without warning, with pump action shotguns;

the fuel tax rebellion in september 2000 before finally petering out in november 2000.

The autumn 2000-winter 2001 floods,

the foot and mouth epidemic,

Is it any wonder that urbanites are getting sick and tired of having to put up with these yapping, whingeing, rural scroungers?
