Summer Leagues 2008

CARA is sponsoring three summer leagues and some social bowling evenings. All leagues will be for ten weeks. The summer leagues are a good opportunity for beginners as well as experienced bowlers to have fun while learning new bowling techniques. The leagues usually have opening for persons wishing to be a sub for the evening.

2008 SUMMER LEAGUES

• The Dale City, VA, Tuesday Ten-Pin League (http://home.comcast.net/~dctp) will bowl at AMF Dale City Lanes, 4304 Dale Boulevard. The league will be composed of three person teams with a start date/time of June 3 at 8 p.m. Contact John at jastortz@comcast.net.
• The Alexandria, VA, Tuesday Ten-Pin League will bowl at AMF Alexandria Bowling Lanes, 6228A N. Kings Hwy, 1 mile South of the Beltway just off of Route 1. (For less traffic and lights from DC: Take GW Parkway South and cross over to Route 1 at Duke or Gibbon Street). The league will be composed of three person teams and will bowl at 7:30 p.m. starting June 3. There will be an organizational meeting at 7 p.m. the first night of bowling. • The Falls Church, VA, Thursday Ten-Pin league will bowl at Bowl America Falls Church, 140 S Maple Ave. The league will be composed of three-person teams. The league will bowl at 7:30 pm starting June 5. There will be an organizational meeting at 7 p.m. the first night of bowling. Contact Les at aidsrider@hotmail.com.

SUMMER SOCIAL BOWLING

• The Maryland Friday Free State League in Bethesda, Maryland will hold social bowling nights June 25, July 18 and August 22. (There will also be a fall league organizational meeting on August 22).  Social bowling starting time will be 8 p.m. at the Bethesda Medical Center Lanes. The cost will be approximately $2.50 per game. Persons interested in participating will need to have their names included on the entry list and must possess a photo ID. • Ten-Pin Pride will hold two social bowling nights this summer at AMF Annandale Lanes in Annandale, VA. Scheduled dates are Monday, June 16, and Monday, July 21, at 8 pm. The cost will be $2 per game. Contact Adam at tppbowler@yahoo.com.
