Ever woken yourself up because you were dreaming out loud? I did that this morning. Always kinda weird. The dream wasn't really anything interesting. I'll just tell you about the part before I woke up. I was on some sort of sight seeing tour through Denali Park. Me and a couple of friends were riding on one of those open aired double decker buses. You know, the big red ones you always see, like in London. We were of course sitting up top. The road was really bumpy and we were being bounced around alot. But nothing to uncomfortably. Besides we were having a good time laughing and joking around. When all of a sudden we hit a REALLY big bump. And I go flying backwards in this weird slow motion cartwheel thing. I land in the laps of the three guys in the backseat. (Who happen to be some of Shawns friends. But in the dream I don't know them.) Anyways I get up and kinda thank them for catching me and go back to my seat. Where my friends are all giggling at me. Like it was my secrete plan to almost fly out of the bus and kill myself. Just to pick up some strange guys. Who when we looked back were all sitting there with three very visible hard-on's all lined up in a row. (scary) Quickly turning around in my seat and not wanting to fly back again. I say to Katie who is now sitting next to me that "There's got to be seat belts on this bus" So after some digging around we find some. But instead of buckling in I decide to tie one of the straps around my ankle . Saying to the girls jokingly "This will keep me in my seat." Which is about when I woke up. With Shawn telling me I was laughing in my sleep. I know it, I'm a nerd. But it seemed to tickle my subconscious funny bone all the same. Besides it's much better then waking up because you are crying in your sleep. Which is what I've done more often.
Well we finally got our cable modem hooked up. Took a bit, (which is an understatement) between problems with the cable men, the modem itself and finally one of the computers.......eeesh. Just too much of a hassle for me to handle. Luckily I didn't have to, Shawn took care of it. So now we are wired for speed. Something I didn't really care about one way or the other. I was just as happy poking along with my old (slow) modem. You know what they say "Ignorance is bliss". Oh well, Shawn being a guy and all, has a tendency to fall into that bigger-stronger-faster-better thingy. (Brin rolls her eyes at the manly men) But I will admit it is noticeably faster. And even though I was never impatient about the speed before. It's nice not to have to wait as long for files to upload. I started my classes up at the U this week. Spent most of friday afternoon in lines. Trying to pay my tution, buying books, and getting my brinka-mobile (lol) stickered/registered. Which now that I think about it. I probably should have registered the subaru instead. It's better to drive in the snow ect. and I hate, hate driving Farmers loop in the winter time (shudder) It's so long and dark and twisty and scary, with moose jumping out at you at every curve......lol. Oh ok so I'm a wimp, but I do hate driving in the winter. Good thing I live in Alaska huh =P Anyways I'm enjoying my classes so far. But more about that next time...... |
