previous day's entry next day's entry

Earlier this week while I was getting ready to leave for work. I had just finished ironing my pants and as I went to pull them up I got this sharp, burning pain in my leg. My first thought, something bit me. Hoping to find the critter. Ok that's not the only reason (who wants creepy crawlies hanging out in their pants) =P .......shudder. I quickly took my pants back off. I unfortunatly didn't find anything but a little red dot about 3 inches from my bikini line on my left leg. A very painful little red dot. It kinda, sorta felt like a bee-sting. Which I am VERY allergic to. But I figured if it had actually been a bee I would have heard it as well as seen it. So I didn't really worry about it and headed out the door. Once at work I checked it again. That little prick mark was now a swollen welt the size of my hand and it hurt like hell. My whole leg felt like it was on fire.I rummaged around the first aid kit (which is quit pathetic I must say) and the only thing I could find that might be even remotely helpful was some kind of first aid spray. Which I used as a better then nothing. I ended up having Shawn bring me some caladryl lotion and sudafed. However nothing really seemed to help. By Sunday evening it had taken over my intire thigh with this puffy purplish rash and was continuing to spread down past my knee. Not only was it just totally creepy looking but it was painful and stiff enough to cause me to limp. Basically that was the end of my rope. So we called the doctor and made an appointment for the next afternoon. $90+ dollars later, I've got some pills that smell like cat pee. And a doctor who hasn't got a clue as to what is growing down my leg. He's not even sure if it is in fact a bug bite at all??? Hoe-hummmm anyways whatever it is the cat pee pills seem to help. It's retreated back down to the size of my hand. And as long as I take my pills twice a day the itching for the most part is gone. Which in the end is all that really matters to me. Would have been nice to know what caused it. Just for my own personal future reference. I mean who wants to get bite like that again...lol. I'll tell you one thing. I sure am shaking the heck out my clothes before I put them on. =)
Oh well speaking of clothes, I'm still sitting around in my jammies. (lazy bum) I should probably go get dressed and stuff.....lol
