Had myself a long needed girls night out this week. Karla and I haven't been out, just the two of us in, I can't even remember the last time. It's amazing how marriages, kids, jobs ect.seem to suck up all our freetime. I mean heck, the two of us used to be attached at the hip it seemed like. Now we are lucky if we catch each other online once a week. Shame on us.....I mean really, we live one hill over from each other. You'd think we could do better then that. (Brin winks Karla's way) That's right I'm talking to you missy =) We went to the Red Fox, a local bar/grill, for drinks and some of the yummiest pizza in town.The place was packed, so we sat at the bar. Which was sorta weird in itself. Brought back memories of the ol' single days. Of course back then I'd probably get drunker then a shunk and give some poor guy the wrong idea. =)
Anyways after dinner we did the all american after dinner past time. Went to the movies, watched Mission to Mars. For the most part it was a pretty good movie. Actually the whole first half was really good. I just think the ending was missing, something. Oh well they can't all be perfect. It was just nice to be out with Karla again, (I miss having you around you silly goose =) we'll have to do it again really soon.
Yesturday Shawn and I went to a comedy show (Jeff Foxworthy and Bill Engvall). My very first comedy show. It was fun =) and I had a really good time. Alot of people gave me shit for the whole redneck thing. And I must admit there were alot of guys in tight jeans (yummy, yummy, yum, oh excuse me ....lol),cowboy hats, and big belt buckles. But hey in this town you've gotta take what you can get. =)
