I've recently discovered how much I enjoy taking baths. I never used to. I think mainly because the house I grew up in, never had bath tub, only a shower. My Dad built it that way. I'm pretty sure he must have something weird against them. For the house he is building now also doesn't have one. It has three showers, but no tubs. However he has saved a spot for a nice, big ol' jacuzzi, so go figure.Good of him to wait until the kids are all grown to put one of those bad boys in, the brat. =) I think another main reason is this. By the time I actually lived in an apartment with a tub. I had to share that tub/bathroom with three other people. Two of them happened to be my brothers. Now I love my brothers dearly. (Why else would I be willing to share an apartment with them) But not enough scrubbing in the world. Could convince me to be naked in that tub filled with, well I don't even wanna know what. Some sort of dead skin(hair)soup is about as for as I would let my imagination go. I know it, I'm a big wimp....lol =P So anyways now I have my own place, with my own bath tub and I love it. I love the way the hot water feels around your body. The way it soaks into you. It's almost like, well, when you are in the arms of a lover and the warmth of their embrace totally surrounds you. It's so relaxing, and feels SO wonderful. I kinda lay there and let the water, the smell of the bubble bath and candles just float me away. I've been reading by candle light alot as I bath latley. But I've been on kind of a candle kick, so that's understandable. I have bought more candles in the last couple of months. <Brin rolls her eyes at herself> Let me just say this, Yankee Candle Company. If you have never smelled any of their candles you are truely missing something wonderful. Their french vanilla ones are my favorite. Smell good enough to make a girl go weak in the knees. =) But I have this thing for vanilla. So don't mind me. They're all lovely. And happily available online for your (mine.....lol) shopping convenience. Oh well after this bathing revelation, I'm dead set on having one of those big whirl pool tubs in the master bath of the house Shawn and I build. I've been watching the people on HGTV building their dream houses and their bathrooms make me drool. Just isn't pretty =). Someday though, someday soon I too will have the master bath I've only ever dreamed about. Then it will be hot tub party at my house =) |
