Well I some how survived the installation of the new computer systems at work. I must admit I was stressin' out a little about it. Totally out of character, I know, but hey I'm human too. =) I think the main thing was the idea of change, which is (well almost always) scary. The night before we went online I was totally having dreams about systems crashing, big red flashing error messages, screens locking up, people yelling. Couldn't guess the new system was on my mind....lol. Once I got into it, I was fine. One computer system is pretty much like the next. It's just the steps you take that change. The funny thing was about everybody else at work was having the same kinds of dreams. So I wasn't the only one feeling the stress of the unknown. =) We took the kids to the Enchanted World this week. Which is basically people dressed up in costumes from all over the world. Pretending to be...well I guess wind up dolls would best describe them. I had gone once when I was a kid and thought it would be something neat for Lauren and Syd to see. The poor girls, there were so many people there. (we were pretty much packed in tighter then sheep) That it was hard, for anyone really, to get a good look at all of them. Which is really to bad because they were pretty cool. I have never been in a crowd of people like that. Never, not at any concert or theme park I've ever been to ever.....eeesh. Good thing I'm not claustrophobic, could have gotten ugly =)To make matters worse there was no set direction for people to move. It was kinda a slow moving free for all. Barely got out of there alive....lol. We also went to the ice park this week to see the carvings. Which means as soon as I get the film back. I'll be updating that part of my site, so stay tuned =). Or in the mean time, check out their site at icealaska.com They have a webcam up and running. We went after dark, which I love. It's like Christmas and fairyland all wrapped into one. Everything is so magical. You wind your way through wooded paths under the stars. With only the glowing, beautifully carved ice to light your way. It's a wonderful feeling. As Shawn and I walked, my small hand in his. I had an almost a child like awe of what was around me. I know mushy stuff. But I can't help it, I am a silly girl, who happens to love life and all the little things it has to offer. .....=P |
