USN MASTER CHIEF JIM GARDINER of Annapolis, Md., was diving the Butlers' Mk12 rig and came up with quite a catch -- his wife Julie!

THE GARDINERS ASKED if we could dress their two sons in gear and just let them pose for photos.
"No way, " we replied. "You're not gonna get those kids all rigged this close to the water and not at least give them a dunk!"
Eleven-year-old Chris was the first to get rigged in Jim Boyd's Aquadyne AH2 and Aquala drysuit -- a choice made for the nice snug cuffs on the Aquala, which worked just fine on the small wrists. Master Chief Gardiner is a veteran diver and accompanied the boys using a Jack Browne mask.

TEN-YEAR-OLD CALEB was next to challenge the frightening monsters of the deep (above right).
Dad kept both boys in the shallow water near the dock, but they each made 20-minute dives.
