The Weekend After

LABOR DAY 2001

THE LABOR DAY DIVE RALLY for 2001 was actually held on the weekend following Labor Day Monday (September 3). The Rally began Saturday morning, September 8, with Chuck Thompson (left) diving Ray Butts' MkV and Bob Rusnak (below left) diving his converted WWII gasmask. Jim Boyd (below right) then dived his new Aquala suit with the AH2 air hat.

BOB'S GASMASK proved to be a popular item as it was dived by Mark Butler (left) and by Jay Rogers (right), who stood with Darol Murphy from Toledo, as he tried out Ray Butts' MkV. Fred Barthes (below) was next to try out Bob's gasmask conversion, as Mark tried out his I-hope-this-doesn't-go-underwater camera.

FRED BARTHES posed with the converted gasmask rig.

RAY TUCKER (above left) couldn't resist playing "Michelin Man" with Boyd's AH2/Aquadyne rig. Jeff Foley (above right) dived his Viking/SuperLite 17K rig.
