Why not build a rock 'n' roll resort?

Wouldn't it be cool if--instead of building one more golf vacation resort--a developer would build a rock 'n' roll resort in its place?  Considering the riches of the baby boom/rock 'n' roll generation, a resort that would allow these folks to recapture their lost youth has the potential to be a goldmine.

Just imagine what you could create if the money needed to buy and develop the large amount of land necessary to build a golf course and hotel was instead used to build a place that revolved around the music and culture of rock 'n' roll--a rock 'n' roll mecca filled with jukeboxes; dancing; live and recorded rock, R&B, and soul music; '57 Chevys and lime-green Cadillacs to rent for an evening cruise; rock-themed restaurants including a Hard Rock Cafe and an American Bandstand Grill; a drive-in theater playing "The Wild One" and "Rebel Without a Cause"; concerts from stars like Little Richard, John Fogerty, Dion, and Smokey Robinson; and a hotel with suites dedicated to rockers like The Beatles and Elvis.  It might even have a rock 'n' roll high school where people could attend lectures by rock historians and writers, and participate in forums dealing with rock 'n' roll music and culture.

I've created this page in hopes of "getting the word out."  If I was the entrepreneurial type, I would set up shop in Branson, Memphis, or Vegas and build it.  But I'm not, so I'm just trying to get the concept out there so that maybe someone else will take a shot at making it happen.  If you think the idea of a rock 'n' roll resort has merit, then please help spread the word--especially if you work in the travel or hospitality industries or know people who do.  If you have a website of your own, please consider linking to this page.  Maybe someday a developer or other businessman will hear about the concept and take action!
