Fettered Man     

Man gets fettered
Bonded with Love
Family
Affection

Man becomes slave
Hostages
Handcuffed with
Joy
Fear
Life
Death
Construction
Destruction.

Man becomes free
Compromised with
Modesty
Pride
Integrity
Sovereignty
Self-respect.

Date : 1/1/2000 Place : Chennai (Written on when India released 3 Terrorist for Hostages Crisis for IC:814 at Kandahar)

 

Bronze Woman

Pray and blessings
Sweat and tears.
Desire and ambitions
Hope and fear.

Millions of souls waiting
Billion of eyes hoping.

A miracle which eluded
A feat which precluded

Every one failed
All fun derailed

A light of eyes of woman sparked
The bronze precious than Gold glittered

We praise The Woman in chorus
Miss world and Miss Universe
For the glory and fame to us.

(Date: Sept-2000  at Chennai On the eve of Bronze Medal Win by Karnam Malleshwari at Sydney Olympic-2000, Indian woman also became Miss world(Priyanka Chopra and Miss Universe(Yukta Mukhi) during that time.)

 

Construction Woman

Loads on the head
Dream in the eyes
Shaping the future
Building the Generations
Barefooted.
Implementing the scheme
Empty stomach.

Steely and passionate
Weak but committed
strident but dedicated
the mainstay of workforce
the constructing the plant
barefooted.
Maintaining the schedule
Empty Stomach.

Romancing with the hardship
Flirting the difficulties
The night in the dreams stare
For tomorrow's the bread and butter
They wake up deserted
For the work and force
Which are required.
The hunger and thirst
That are to be satiated.

To Each one of you, I complement
For the perseverance you supplement.

(Chennai - Construction site at TNEB, North Chennai-120 on 29/9/200. I found the female construction worker much more hard working than the male workers. )

The static elevated
Junction House
Meditating like monk
The vast expanse of sea
Across the sandy land
Unabated smile of periwinkle
The bougainvillea plays cool breezes
The conical sweeping trees
Swinging with joy
Alone in the air.

Conveyor Galleries
Waits for the commissioning
For its wedding with the plant
We all busy
To embrace the occasion.
