XENA MOVIE NEWS PAGE
Since the series ended there has been rumours floating around about a proposed Xena Warrior Princess movie. First apparently speculated by Lucy Lawless herself while on a New Zealand radio station, it has long since been hinted that a film version of our show was in the works. Now confirmed by executive producer, Rob Tapert the film has been in limbo for the past couple of years while the question of who actually owns the rights to Xena are legally determined and finding a financial backer for the film. The script has been penned by writer Katherine Fugate and both Lucy and Renee are signed to return. But now the wait continues on whether this project will go ahead or not. It has not yet been officially confirmed but at this stage it is starting to look like we may NOT get the film, at least anytime soon.
