VENUS INVASION
Batch '99 proved that mountaineering is no longer a man's sport. Their 9 to 4 ratio of ladies to men is one for the record, maybe not only for MMS but in other mountaineering groups as well.

OLDEST ROOKIE @ 36
The youngest in the batch is 22 while the oldest is 36. This proves that the sport is not a matter of age, but a matter of will and a lot of diagnostic exercise.

IT'S A FAMILY
Two are sisters, twins actually, and the other two are husband and wife.

GOING INTERNATIONAL
After a certain Bob Ali took MMS and Philippine mountaineering by storm, there is another Filipino-speaking foreigner in the person of a Japanese lady who is very much Filipino at heart. And her heart was won by a true-blooded Filipino and MMS member as well.

WAS & ALWAYS WILL BE
They used to be mountaineers in college. Today, even with their hectic schedule as a college professor and a medical intern, they are returning to their first love.

They come from
Everywhere
The demography of the group, when it comes to profession and education, has a very wide range. Four have medical background and another four have computer-related jobs. There is only one student among them and the rest of the bunch are either into business, architecture or social work.
