Working
in Agauscalienties - 12/03 to 4/04 |
From
the day after Christmas to the end of April I had the
pleasure of working on and off again in Mexico. I
was sub-contracting for the Nissan Corp. My
company was Behr Automotive Paint Systems. While I
was working in Mexico, I was in a city by the name of
Aguascalienties. It was here that all of my views
and misconceptions of Mexico and Mexican people
changes. I met so many great people there that it
still amazes me to this day. The people are so
nice and understanding. I think that if it was an
option I would like to stay there for an extended amount
of time. The crew that I worked with was freakin'
awesome. I am happy to have worked with the likes
of Collin Smyth, Frank Helsteder, Roy Holcom, Jose
Marino, Mark Sislo, Bret Little, Alfonso and the two Brits, Andy
and Lee. It was an honor. And I must say for the
record that Robin Scott, I hated your guts in the plant,
but you are a kick ass cat while you are not
working. It just goes to show that you can be all
about your job and let it go outside of work. And
to the girls I met down there; Raquel, Yaz, Claudia,
Betty, Fabiola, Miyella, Angelica, and Little Claudia,
thank you so much for being mis amigas.
P.S. - If I misspelled anyone's name, I am sorry

Fiesta
de Intoxicado - 3/20/04 |
Every
year my good friend Chris Ford has a party just to have
a party. I named this party the Fiesta de
Intoxicado. I had spent a lot of time in Mexico
this past year and it seem fitting. Actually the day of
this party I had returned from Mexico and had brought a
friend. He was a gift from my good friend
Raquel. It was a piņata of a Nemo from the movie
"Saving Nemo". He was renamed that night
to Party Fish. He still lived on to this day,
living at my house giving me an excuse to party. Rock On
Party Fish!!!

Puerto
Vallarta - 4/24/04 to 4/30/04 |
In
April I was invited to go to Vallarta with some friends
I met in Mexico. At first I thought they were joking,
but when I knew they were not I jumped at the opportunity.
This was probably a once in a life time thing, so I had
to go. I was even prepared to quit my job to
go. I must say that Vallatra is beautiful, and the
resort we stayed at was amazing. I was there with
my friends Raquel, Yaz, and a guy I had not met yet,
Leon. I will say that sometimes I got down because
I have no grasp of the Spanish language (I am learning
though), but I would not trade it for the world. I
still am amazed at the amount of English that most Mexican
people know, it just takes me by surprise, because where
I live there aren't that many people who speak any
Spanish at all. Anyways, the girls made Vallarta
out to sound like just a vacation, but to me it was so
much more. Raquel, Yaz, and Leon, I would like to thank
you for letting me share that time with you all.
You guys rock!

La
Boda de Betty y Juanca - 8/07/04 |
I
finally have the pictures to post mis amigos. For
those of you that don't know, I went to a wedding back
in August. The wedding was in Mexico and it was
for two good friends that I met on one of my many business
trips for Behr (a company I worked for). I will
say that this wedding was one of the best weddings I
have ever been to. I am truly blessed to have been
invited to return to Mexico and share this moment with
Betty and Juanca. Thank you both very much. O, en espaņol, muchos gracias y
felicitaciones.

My
Trip to Texas - 09/01/04 to 09/05/04 |
At the
beginning of September I took a trip to Leander, Texas to visit
my sister. I have not seen her in a long time, and
it was great to see her again. I guess it was OK
to see Ray too (that is her husband), just kidding
Ray. I miss my sister very much and wish I could
have more opportunities to visit. The fun thing
was that we (my mom and I) did not tell her I was
coming. So she was very surprised to see me.
I traveled there with my mom and it was nice to spend
some time with her also. I don't have much time to
get some one on one time with my mom and I think that
was another bonus to the trip. Thanks for having
us Tricia. Much Love and Take Care.

The
Two Day Party - 09/18/04 to 09/19/04 |
My two good friends Sarah and
Carrie said that they were going to have and end of
summer party. I attended this event with the
intent of drinking many beers and saying good-bye to the
summer until next year. Well during the party I
wanted to get my friend Nate drunk (it was his first
time). He did get drunk, puked, and handled
everything like a trooper. I took a cooler to this
event and told everybody to put their beer in the cooler
to keep it cold. Guess what, when I woke up
in the morning (still drunk), I found that I had
everybody's left over beer. Cam and I thought that
it was a shame to let good beer go to waste so we
decided to keep drinking and started day two of the
party in my driveway at about noon on Sunday. It
was a great end to the Summer.

What is a Zen Koan?
In traditional Zen, a disciple is given a Koan, a riddle that cannot be solved by the rational mind.
After many attempts, the disciple experiences the answer as a clear reflection of the truth: and with it comes the
realization that all answers come from within oneself. As the Mystic Osho says: "The highest
intelligence is the creative response to now."
