The Independence of the Celtic Church in Ireland

Kerr's The Independence of the Celtic Church in Ireland This book is available now on CD-ROM or floppies for $19.95 plus shipping. This fabulous work, out of print for many decades, covers the audacious attacks on the independence of the Celtic Church by the Roman Catholic Church, ever greedy for more power and money. Interesting anecdotes include the ritual shunning practices of the Celtic Christians towards the Romans and the refusal of the Roman pope to act against the Cistercians who were beating up the Celtic monks and who said that to kill an Irishman was no worse than killing a dog.

Bishops at Large

The weighty tome Bishops at Large by Peter Anson is also now ready for purchase for $49.95 USD plus shipping. This classic work attempting to put Independent clergy "in their place" is available on CD-ROM.

Incubation

We're extremely excited to be laying plans to begin releasing fabulous out-of-print works which cover Christo-Pagan material. Our first planned release will be Incubation or The Cure of Disease in Pagan Temples and Christian Churches by Mary Hamilton. It seems she used a pseudonym to publish, probably afraid of the criticism publishing such controversial material would be. You can read some about this work on these pages:

The Clan of the Bear Women Pagan Shamanic practices in a Catholic convent--with live bears! Of course, the druids are involved... Seriously, more weird stuff than we can possibly relate is on this lady's site, which has many more pages of such zany wackiness, and books you can buy. Truly awesome!

Pagan Altars in Christian Churches?

Sex in Church!

As if the above wasn't strange enough, we now delve into the strange sexual fetishes found in and around many Christian churches. Old habits die hard (no pun intended)...

St. Priapus: An Account of Phallic Survivals within the Christian Church and Some of Their Pagan Origins Other useful excerpts from this company's books (which you can buy) can be found here.

Potency and Sin: Ireland and the Phallic Contintuum by Anthony Weir. Talk about big idols! Fabulous photos and insightful material dominates this page and the others in this fabulous site. Of particular interest on this page is the material on how these old fetishes would be "Christianized" by simply adding a cross to them, and St. Peter holding his namesake. Great info on the connections between Native American and Irish practices, like the sweat lodge page . They look a lot like hobbit houses, for you Tolkien fans. He sells a 25-megabyte CD-ROM version of this Website that should prove quite worthwhile.

The Victorian elements that Weir discusses are still with us, as these rules sponsored by Northern Virginia Carvers amply shows. These folks are worried about kids carving obscene or offensive pieces, which may be removed by command of the competition chairman if they appear. (Competition Rules #15) Since the rules are so complete, it's quite strange and potentially discriminatory that these terms are not defined.

Sheela-na-gigs by Jack Roberts Great minds think alike! Excellent info here on the folk practices surrounding these gals. When one compares the power imputed to these images with that of the wise women, both given identical names, as well as the still-surviving practice of rubbing of the image at Ireland's Castlemagner, the rather preposterous theories of people like Anthony Weir and James Jerman, who wrote Images of Lust, are totally destroyed!

47) Where did these things come from? Maybe from swarthy men from the East? Read about The Black Men of Biddle

Speaking of the East, even Hindu brahmins are alleged to deny the existence of obscene carvings in their temples! Read about it here.

The Gnostic Catechism by Tau Stephanus I

The Gnostic Witch Bible "This is a site of Gnosis, meaning to know; the Witch, a practioner in the Craft of the wise; and the Bible, a compilation of small books. Taken together, it means that this site is a study into the Yin energy of the planet, that is the feminine energy. What She reveals to the world has been villainized for millenia, and is not what many wish to hear. The viewpoints expressed here are definitely not mainstream, neither within the Wiccan nor Christian communities. This site is not about Satanism. Satanism is the recognition of an evil masculine energy that is a psychological, composite "Devil" made up of many pagan deities (Cernunnos, Pan, Artemis-Diana, Lucifer, Ishtar-Astarte, Set, Ahriman, and others) which is strictly a part of the orthodox Christian system. That being said, this site is about Lucifer as our missing, androgynous Goddess, whose existence can be linked back to the gnostic Pistis Sophia. This site traces back the Goddess energy to before the ascension of the Church of Rome. Leave conventional definitions and opinions aside, please, until after hearing the Gnosis."

Grailology (Study of the Holy Grail)

The Grail in the Stones: The Mysteries of Alchemy and the Grail in the Temples of Western Europe by Hank Harrison. This was on the now-defunct Website of his publishing company, Arkives Press. There are and will be dead graphics links because he used subfolders to store images, which led to him not getting them all right. (Of course we also might have missed some, too!). Also, some seem to have been misnamed. Hank tells me that he recently spent over $3000 to travel to the tomb of the anonymous author of Perlesvaus and is working on a new book about his most recent discoveries.
