Story/ Basic Theme: Five years after the events of the game, Sephiroth returns from the Lifestream to posses the living. Bringing back many characters that have previously died in the game, Adam Jones’ plot is at least believable and original. Quality of Writing: This is where the story starts to slip a little. Although generally well-written and totally understandable, it is clear that Adam has written it inconsistantly, and therefore the descriptions and speech that the story deserves are not totally developed. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not like it was written by a three year-old, but it’s just that it needed slightly more depth to get you totally involved. Varying states of quality give Insurrection an average...

Universe: The second strongest element in the the story is how well it manages to keep to all of the characters. Many of the heroes that we know and love are all playing their proper roles. Overall Enjoyment: Overall, this is a sound story and, although it needs depth to pull you in just that little bit further, it is an enjoyable fic. One thing that did irritate me a little was the amount of “Hello!” screamed Barrett there was. Read it, and you’ll know what I mean: there are an awful lot of screams in it. But, nevertheless, it is a good story, and on I recommend. If only Adam could tidy it up just a little bit, then it would really be something special...

Good story, Adam, but you
need to re-write a few areas to make it superb. Promising.
