ARCTIC ADVENTURE TREKS arranges outdoor activities both in summer and in winter. In summer time our treks lead into the vast wilderness areas south of the town of Rovaniemi. There are no fixed or marked trails; we use map and compass to get to the different stages of the trip. We build up the night camps together, prepare our meals ourselves and enjoy the absolute quietness of Lapp nature.

In wintertime we ski or snowshoe through untouched snowfields. Time is limited because of the shortness of the day, so the daily stages are not very long. The twilight time is used for building up the night camp, preparing meals and other things. During the night there is also a certain duty everyone has to participate; the fire watch. As we spend the nights mostly in tents which are heated with ovens one person at a time has to watch the fire. During the night wet clothes also have to be dried so "there is not much leasure".
