Puzzled about Izark's strange behaviour, Noriko started wondering what she had done wrong. Izark tried to tell Noriko he is all right and sat on the bed. Noriko, thinking that Izark was very sick, ran out of the inn to look for the doctor whom she met yesterday. On the way, Noriko met the doctor together with the town mayor and brought them to the inn. The doctor attended to Izark but Izark refused to be treated. "I'm all right. Sometimes, I'm like that. It's just like one year of exhaustion is
suddenly felt in my body.", Izark explained to the doctor. After hearing these, Izark asked how much is the reward for getting rid of the bandits. The doctor replied that the reward is 5000 zols and the mayor started explaining the situation to Izark. At this moment, there was someone outside the door listening to their conversation. Izark agreed to help but the mayor continued to complain that Izark is such a sick person. Suddenly, angered by the mayor's attitude to Izark, Noriko stood between them and raised her arms like she was trying to protect Izark. Everyone was surprised by Noriko's action. Izark promised that he would help after he recovered and said that he would only collect his reward after he had finished his job. Izark noticed someone was outside the door and asked. The person outside the door was surprised and opened the door. He told them that he is the innkeeper, Han and asked them to come down for breakfast. Noriko, the mayor and the doctor went down for their breakfast. Outside the town, the soldiers carrying the coffins met Keimos (flying dragon rider of Rienka). Keimos killed all the soldiers and Niba (a merchant) and Han watched his actions from afar. Later, Niba and Han met the bandits and Han told them about Izark's illness. Happy with this information, the bandit chief decided to kill Izark on that night. On his shoulder was an animal, which was a present from Niba. Izark had a dream. In his dream, he was young and was calling for his mother. His mother
told him to get away from her, saying she was stupid to exchange that... (?) for wealth and
glory. Similarly, many people started to drift away from Izark. Behind Izark appeared a dark
shadow of a strange creature. Izark woke up and saw Noriko sleeping on the edge of his bed. Izark heard some noise outside and picked up his sword beside him. Noriko woke up too. At this moment, Han was leading a group of bandits to Izark's room. Han opened the door and the bandits rushed in to kill Izark. In a flash, Izark had killed eight bandits thought he was still very sick. Noriko was both shocked and worried at the same time. Seeing Izark panting heavily, the bandits grabbed the blanket. Seeing this, Noriko quickly grabbed the other edge of the blanket to prevent the bandits from using the blanket to cover and blind Izark. The bandit chief shouted to the bandits that they could use Noriko as the hostage. Hearing these, Izark grabbed Noriko and jumped out of the window. Although he wanted to kill Mezame, he could not bear to see Noriko who did not know anything to be defeated by her own destiny. Landing on the ground, Izark could not move anymore. He told Noriko to hide but Noriko refused to leave him and tried to carry him away. Noriko and Izark hid in an old storage yard. The bandits were searching for them nearby. Suddenly, Izark took the sword and told Noriko that he would kill the bandits. Fangs appeared in his mouth. Walking out of his hiding place, Izark killed many of the bandits again. One of them trapped Izark's sword with his chain and at this moment, the bandit chief stabbed his chest. When he was about to stab Izark again, Noriko pushed him to save Izark. Upon falling, the animal on the bandit chief's shoulder was stabbed accidentally. The animal vapourised into the air. A bandit tried to hurt Noriko and Izark saved her. The bandits were shocked that Izark could still move with such heavy wounds. The bandit chief was thinking that he had lost the animal and was unable to teleport and hence he ran away. The other bandits followed. Meanwhile, Noriko was worried about Izark's wounds but the word 'monster' that the bandits had called Izark was the only thing in Izark's mind. The doctor attended to Izark's wound and realised that only a scar was left on his body where the blood was. Izark explained that the scar was an old wound and the blood was the enemies' blood. Relieved that Izark was fine, Noriko cried and then fell asleep. Both the doctor and mayor were surprised to see that. Izark told both of them that he would recover tomorrow and will finish his job on tomorrow morning. Izark slept in another room that night. Meanwhile, the mayor was discussing about adopting Noriko as his daughter with the doctor. Seeing Han being captured, the bandit chief went to Niba's house. In Niba's house, Keimos was offered with wine and a comfortable bed. Through Keimos's speech, Niba knew that Keimos believed he himself is unbeatable. The bandit chief told Niba about the failure of the attack and demanded another the animal from Niba but Niba did not have another chimo (the animal) anymore. The bandit chief threatened to kill Niba and so Niba seek help from Keimos. Keimos killed the bandit chief easily and asked Niba about the location of the strong man whom they attacked. Niba promised Keimos that he would find him as long as he protects him. The next morning, the location of the bandits' hideout was found out from Han. The bandit chief's body was found in Niba's house and Niba had escaped. Izark went off in search of the remaining bandits and Niba while Noriko waited for his return in the inn.
Keimos appeared and told Izark Niba's current location and that Niba employs him. Izark
noted that Keimos was different and realised that he was the one who had killed the bandit
chief. The fight between Keimos and Izark began. The two realised that the other party was
the strongest opponent that they ever met. Keimos was totally amazed at Izark's speed.
Meanwhile, in Rienka, Goriya, a prophet was predicting Keimos's location. Rachef who stood
behind Goriya asked him of the result. Goriya told Rachef that Keimos was fighting with a
person in Zargo, near Kaluko and Rachef requested to know the result of their fight. Goriya
replied that Keimos would lose. The fight continued. Izark striked Keimos with a huge energy ball. Rachef decided that he
would help Keimos. His spirit left his body and went into Goriya's body. Thinking that Keimos
was too strong, Izark decided that he would kill him. Angered that someone is stronger than
he do, Keimos realised that Izark must be the one who took Mezame away from the
forest. The ground began to shake and it suddenly collapsed. An enormous hand appeared and grabbed
Keimos while Izark fell all the way down. Rachef's returned to his body and told Goriya that
even the strongest man would not survive the fall if he were a human. At this moment, a
monster-liked hand appeared out of the rocks. It was Izark's hand, Izark whom had been buried
under the rocks. Izark returned to the inn. The mayor decided not to tell Izark about the adoption after
he saw Izark seeming upset when they buried the bandits' body. Izark decided to let Noriko
follow him, as he was afraid that Noriko would tell others where she came from when she knew
how to speak in their language. He decided to be with her till she understands his language
and know that she herself is Mezame. Izark knew he had no choice, as he does not know how to
send her back to her world. Noriko bumped into Izark as Izark jumped on the horse. Embarrassed, Noriko started to
speak in Japanese again. |
