Misunderstandings, Being Part Six
Papergirl rushed back and forth from one end of the lecture hall to the other, calling out, "howyadoin? HOWYADOIN!" "Fine," Junior Bird Man replied. "Fine." "No, no..." Papergirl muttered. "This isn't getting me anywhere. I'll never find him this way. What can I do?" Meanwhile, Expletive Deleted had finished dusting for prints and was standing near the crime scene talking on a cell phone. "Are you sure?" he asked into the phone. "All right then. We'll get right on it. Bye." He shut off the phone and put it back on his belt. "Who was that?" asked Fenris, still sniffing for prints. "Sir Tim Drake and Roquefort Raider down at the lab," Ex replied. "They've identified the poison." "What was it?" Papergirl asked. She had approached the crime scene in search of more information. "Apparently, it was arsenic," Expletive Deleted related. "Someone mixed it into the glass of water when the poor Tango wasn't looking." "How?" asked Papergirl. "I still don't think it was Tango," Fenris interjected. "We don't know how," Expletive Deleted answered Papergirl. "We're working on various hypotheses right now. We're not sure how anyone could have gotten close enough to Tango without being seen." "I still don't think it was Tango!" Fenris interrupted again. "What?" Papergirl looked confused. "Have you ever heard the theory that everyone has a perfect double?" Fenris asked Papergirl. "No," she answered. "Well, that's fine. Because that isn't it," Fenris continued. "I think the Jack Tango we witnessed was really a robot. The robot we used to call Johnny DC." "Robot?" Now Expletive Deleted looked confused. As soon as these words were spoken a shadow seemed to move in the background. A man in black spoke into his own cell phone... "The plan didn't work. Move to plan B."
