Weapons available to UNIT operators depend on the nature of the mission. Because of UNIT's peculiar status, and the UN's desire to limit both public exposure and civilian casualties, limits have been placed upon the firearms available to UNIT teams; these limits are detailed below. Please note that prgressive stages include the firearms of prior stages.
Stage One - basic equipment for UNIT operators, these are used during operations in 'safe' countires (most of Europe, North America and Oceania, Japan, S.Korea, etc).
FN Five-Seven - one is issued to each operator, with three magazines.
H&K MP5 PDW - two are stowed in the team vehicle, with six magazines.
Stage Two - the use of Stage Two firearms is authorised for operations in unfriendly countries, for assault operations, or when moderate resistance is expected.
FN P90 - issued with six 50 round magazines
Steyr Scout - usually only one per team
Stage Three - authorised for long-range operations, or operations where military opposition is expected
H&K G36 - with three 100 round dual snail drums
H&K AG36 - with twelve mixed 40mm grenades
Stage Four - weapons in Stage Four are only issued when a specific threat is expected, or when an operation will occur in a specific environment.
Flame Thrower - one or two issued to each team when Type 02 entities are expected
