The Jack Russell "Terrorist"
04.02.2003 - This is the first time I have been able to raise a puppy, and I really didn't know what to expect. I've always seen these dogs hopping merrily on television and in the movies, but it was a neighbor's cute JRT named "Winston" that first caught the attention of my girlfriend. After visiting a local breeder, we took home Milo and here he is... now almost 5 months old and a whole lotta vaccine shots later. Milo is one happy, hyper-active pup. His 3 favorite things to do in life are: chewing, chasing, and chilling. People always ask if he's hyper 24-7, but in reality Milo can mellow out and watch TV or take a nap on the couch. We do have to be sure and give him plenty of play time outdoors in the backyard or nearby parks, otherwise he will become one perro loco.

Go Fetch the Ball, Milo!
Not only is Milo cute, but he is one unpredictable dog with a great personality. Just when I think he's tired from running around the park chasing tennis balls, he comes back home and yearns for more. On the next day, he'll just as likely sleep and relax all day on the couch watching the Animal Channel. And when the doorbell rings, look out! His ears perk up, eyes open wide, and bolts to the door waiting for the next guest to come through. Let's also not forget how much Milo likes to chew. Fingers, toes, hands, and on things, as the furniture in my house can attest to that. He loves to chew anything in his path, so I had to be careful to "dog proof" my place like loose electrical cords. He's even chewed up somebody's Oakley sunglasses! |

Milo's Quirky Personality
True story: One night while Jeannie and I were watching TV on the couch, Milo is peacefully sleeping in his bed on the floor. I forget what, but something made me suddenly laugh. This awakened Milo, as he jumped up from his bed, walked over to where I was sitting on the couch, looked me straight in the eye, and proceeded to bark at me several times as if to say "shut up, I'm trying to @#$%&*$ sleep here!" Obviously irritated, he walked back to his bed and closed his eyes to try to sleep once again. Needless to say, I think he wanted to bite my head off at that moment. When Milo's not busy barking at me for waking him up, he loves to play with his buddy Axl Huckleberry, a friendly neighbor's silky terrier. As you can see by the pictures below, these pups love to wrestle and go at it... parental supervision is definitely recommended, if you know what I mean!
